These strings are too low tension to use on a Fender Jaguar short scale bass. Especially the E string. I had to raise the action considerably to cut down on buzz. I had no buzz issue at all with the round-wound strings I replaced. I will not buy again.

Better than Round wounds IMHO. Deepened and warmed up my short scale tone.

Came on time. Very good sound if you want a flat wound sound, not versatile for anything other than sounding like flat wounds. Can't comment on durability as they've not been on the bass that long. Value okay but across the board bass strings are very expensive for what they are.

I added them onto my Gretsch Electromatic short scale bass. They’re fantastic. They have the darker tone I was looking for. Perfect for jazz and soul.

Flats feel great, pricey though, these were at least less money than most. Very happy with the strings on a Fender Mustang bass.

GREAT WARM TONES AND STABLE TUNING.Bought them for a Hofner Ignition Violin Bass not realizing that even though they are medium scale, they are too long. They work just fine on the A and D strings but the winding pins are too close to the nut causing E and G to not have any braid to thread the pin. However, I found a little workaround that may or may not work for everyone. I used a couple of small copper crimp sleeves and sleeved them down those strings buying me a little slack on the braids. The red end loops are showing just outside of the tailpiece "if you care" but I made the strings work and the tones are worth it.If you're not crafty, do not buy these strings for your Hofner.

As a disclaimer, this is my first set of flatwounds so I don’t have much of a frame of reference. To me, these strings sound, look, and FEEL great. These strings feel smooth out of the pack; you could slide up and down the neck with these all day and your fingers would still probably feel fine.

They just aren't quite as "flat" as I wanted. Still a fair amount of texture to the strings. I've used other strings that are silky smooth when you run you fingers up the neck for some accent notes. Still, far better than traditional round wound strings. I'll certainly keep them on my bass for now.
