Your cart is empty.Type 1.5 pound crab pot zinc anode that ties on. These anodes are manufactured in bundles of 5 that are designed to break apart. Make sure you have a RotoMetals zinc Sacrificial anode attached to your weight bar and prevent corroding and prevent the scale or "slag" from forming. This will save you time and eliminate the need to hammer your weight bar between and during crab season. The anode also helps "cool" the trap down due to the Electrolysis in the water, thus making it more appealing to enter.

I put them on crab pots. If you don't want to use reebar to weight your pots down these still add a good amount of weight and give corrosion protection at the same time. Twist on to install no problem

Can be pried apart with a little force and wiggling - no tools necessary.I'm using them as simple weights. I really should ensure galvanic connection by soldering through the paint. When I wrap the connectors around the painted crab cages, they won't really work as anodes, but that's OK in my case.If I even scrape a bit of paint off. I may improve the trap lifespan.

The crab pot zinc bars from RotoMetals are superb. I took a chance while rigging my original pots and ordered from RM. Well made, heavy weight and the attached wrapper wire makes installation easy and permanent. I've since added these very same zinc bars to all my pots and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a quality way to add a little extra corrosion resistance to their traps. A solid, high quality product from good people. You can't go wrong.

I used this to zinc plate an old brass house plaque. It worked perfectly. Saved myself having to order a new $100+ custom cast house number plaque.
