Super easy to put together, just screw the sections to each other. It's sturdier than a lot of screw together tools because all the joints are reinforced with plastic plugs. I like the adjustable handle. I usually do no till, so investing in a rototiller would be silly for me, but I'm doing raised beds this year so wanted to be able to prep the soil and mix in amendments easily. This works well for that, especially since it can be used with just one handle section, making it basically a handheld tool. If you have really compacted, heavy soil this might not work well for you, I'd imagine it would be pretty backbreaking. It can be a workout just with already loose soil.

This is the first tiller I've ever used so I can't compare it to others. So far, I'm happy with it as it gets the job done. It seems well made! Easy to put together.

I have mixed opinions about this thing. In the one hand, I like the teeth and the tines and how they chew up the weeds. On the other, I don't like how flimsy the pole is or how much pressure you have to apply to get the tines to do their job. The two are counteractive. You have to apply all the pressure, but the pole isn't made to withstand that much pressure. It's a double-edged sword. If you're doing a small space like a raised bed or a flower bed, it might work well for you, but don't expect it to eat up large areas.

I'm old, I don't do a huge garden anymore, but still like to putter around. I needed a small cultivator type tool, to do small spaces, or just break up the ground in flower beds and before seeding or transplanting. This works perfectly. I'm surprised by the quality. The handle is aluminum, but thick and sturdy feeling. The sections slide onto each other before screwing, the thread a good 2" inch recessed, which makes the handle much stronger. The head is pretty heavy solid metal, should last a long time. The blades turn easily but not too much, requires a little effort. They seem sharp. Been getting the job done. Harder or packed soil needs some more effort. It's not like you just wave this over the ground and it's perfectly tilled up. It does require some effort and depending on the soil, some actual muscle. This is a perfect size for what I need and I'm very happy the quality is better than normal.

I got this as an inexpensive alternative to a rototiller. Assembly was easy. Instructions are not needed, though they are included. The cultivator has the handle as well as two extensions, so you can make it short if you prefer to stay close to your work. The handle is non-slip and easy to hold. I used all three pieces and it’s plenty long, 57” including the tines. The pole has plastic connections enclosed in steel, so can be taken apart and reconnected without wearing out the connections. If you prefer to break it down for winter storage you can do that as well. The tines don’t reach very far into the soil, 1.7”, to be exact; so I used a shovel to turn big chunks of dirt and remove any large debris. There is a maximum weight of 40 pounds, so this is not meant to dig up huge rocks, and you shouldn’t put your whole body weight into tilling. The cultivator is great at breaking up the smaller chunks, exposing smaller rocks in the top 2 inches. I also used it to mix in some compost. After several passes and removing smaller debris, the soil looks healthy and lovely, level and smooth! Between now and when my garden goes in, I will continue using the cultivator for weed control. This will save so much time, being able to just till them in rather than wait until they’re big enough to pull by hand. And once the garden is in, the cultivator can be used carefully between rows to control the weeds. It is small enough that it can reach in corners and tight spaces, so even if you rent or own a rototiller, this is a super handy tool.

This is a farily well built tiller for smaller planter beds. It won't do any deep tilling, but can be useful in smaller gardens. We have incredibly tough dirt in Nevada that we are trying to revitalize this year. This will come in helpful after we have the beds ready and need to turnover everything as well as inbetween harvests.

This tiller works just as described. The tines (not sure if that's the right word) are sharp without being hazardous just having it around. They rotate well, and I really appreciate the fact that you can change how long the handle is depending on your needs. The handle grip is comfortable, and it tills the earth well, even when it's cold. When things start to warm up, it'll be like a hot knife through butter! For the price you pay, this is a great value. I highly recommend this tiller.

This small cultivator is absolutely perfect for my garden, especially since I have several small raised beds. I use the same garden boxes year after year, so I needed an efficient way to till the soil and prepare it for new crops each season. This tool is well-designed, strong, sturdy, and heavy enough to work effectively yet still compact and easy to handle. One of the features I love most is its versatility. The handle comes in three pieces, allowing you to customize the length. You can use it as a short handheld cultivator for small, detailed areas, a medium-length option for tighter spots, or a full-length stand-up tool to save your back while working on larger sections. This flexibility makes it incredibly useful for a variety of gardening tasks. The cultivator is also nice and sharp, which makes breaking up soil and removing weeds so much easier. Plus, it disassembles easily for storage, which is a big bonus for someone like me with limited space. Overall, this tool has been fantastic for maintaining my raised beds, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a durable and versatile garden tool!
