I have a 1965 Mustang with a C4 automatic transmission. This part was indicated as fitting that transmission, but although it appeared to be a correct fit, the threads on this unit are not compatible with the transmission block. I was able to repeatedly remove and reinsert the old (suspected) failed unit, but this one will not thread in.Someone else said it worked on their 1966 transmission but for whatever reason it didn’t work on mine...
