Love these things! I live in a small complex where the front doors all face random angles and we all had trouble getting packages to the right places, got a bunch of these for the holidays and painted them silver, not a problem since I handed them out! Now if the mailman would stop delivering mail to people not listed on the boxes… but that’s for another year

I moved into an old farmhouse on the lower level and there was no distinguishing between the A and B apartments. These letters were very reasonably priced so I didn't even bother the landlord. The black "A" looks very classy on the white woodwork. I placed it just above the door and it really dressed the place up! Now UPS knows where to leave my packages.

I took some ridicule from the Home Depot guy when I asked if they had a mailbox post made of 6x6's - why would you want that, all mailboxes use 4x4's?? What a loser! The mailbox looks outstanding and these numbers really added to the beauty. There are very sturdy and the supplied screws fit perfectly and a long enough to keep it that way. Here's a tip for easy attachment: make a template with a 1x4 that is a couple inches longer that your house number and pre-drill the holes for each number. I placed mine vertical on the post with 1/4" gap between the numbers. For the top number I also drilled a hole that would be covered by the number (or use the middle number for horizontal placement) and used this to lightly nail the template to the post. Now, just lightly drill the holes for each number, take off the template and screw in each to the post. Enjoy!
