I use them for my candles. It’s really easy to take it out of the mold.

Mold arrived damaged, it wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't you know on the inside.Decided to order a 2nd different mold and that arrived damaged as well..

Very pretty mold. I like all the grooves in its detailed petals. The finished product comes out pretty small, about 1"x1" and are easy to come out. However, since I am making insect-repellent candles (using coffee grains and cloves), it's actually a good size for me. I don't stay outdoors too long at one time and that one little candle is about right for me. If I were to make decorative candles out of this mold, they would be so much prettier than my coffee candles! The samples shown are so pretty that they are actually enticing me to go that route, too!

This mold will create a rose about 1 1/4" in diameter which makes it a nice intermediate size for my collection. I love the sharp definition you can get with silicone molds when casting resin and even pottery clay. (Remember that pottery clay will shrink about 10-15% once fired.) I noticed that this mold in particular is more realistic because it contains undercuts on the top edge of the mold / bottom edge of the flower. That would normally be a deal-breaker on other types of molds because you wouldn't be able to demold your material. But it's no problem for silicone because it's stretchable and peelable. I also like knowing I can use this in high temp situations such as making candles or baking liquid polymer. Remember to observe the safety precaution to buy a second mold if you want to go back and forth between food (ice, icing, etc.) and non-food crafts. I just popped my mold in the freezer to make a totally classy rose ice cube (which can be dyed with food coloring). I've read that freezing filtered water will make your ice clearer.

Definitely not for a beginner. First one I made broken into several pieces. Maybe with more practice I'll get better?
