I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. They're unstable in the hands and the grips aren't grippy, so they shift around a lot in the hand. That might be a good thing since it forces you to hold onto them tighter, but if you're not used to it, I can imagine getting pretty bad blisters after extended use from them. They're pretty heavy which is what you want and given they're springs, pretty unstable, also probably what you want. I don't think they're going to simulate the real thing effectively, but they definitely make your arms sore after using them.

I did not purchase this exact product listed as CrossFit R-Rope, instead, I purchased the CrossFit Z-Rope from Temu for $25.99. The appearance is the same except the Z-Rope has a protective rubber covering over the springs. It is shorter than an actual battle rope which means movement and motion won’t be the same. Each hand will work independently just like a battle rope and the weight appears to increase as the workout continues. I found my arm burned and were becoming fatigue and sore from the workout. My abs, shoulders , and back became sore also. I found this product great for small spaces, inside areas, and travel. I have two different size battle ropes that I enjoy using. So far I love my Z-Rooe, which is built well. I do believe it will last a long time.

Going in to winter, I was excited to have a battle rope to use indoors (I don't have the space to run my battle rope indoors, so I use it on my porch). I got to say, this is nothing like a battle rope. Also, they don't feel the same, one of the "springs" is much more floppy than the other so it feels weaker and makes it hard to do workouts where you use both arms.I really wanted to love this but it just is not functioning how I thought. I am finding ways to utilize them but I really wouldn't classify them as a battle rope.Update: seller reached out wanting to improve the experience, I responded shortly after they messaged. It's now been 3 weeks with no reply. Review changed from 2 stars to 1 star, I no longer would recommend this product or seller.
