Bought originally for replacing the windshield of my 1966 M151A1 Ford MUTT jeep for assisting to install the new windshield glass into the rubber windshield gasket (a summer project to come). YouTube and others with experience recommended this tool to wrap around the glass while inserting it into the windshield gasket. Then the windshield glass and gasket is inserted into the windshield frame and the rope helps to set the rubber gasket tightly to the windshield frame by pulling the rope out. Check out YouTube to see on older military vehicles.

first time gasketed windshield installer here. This tool worked great and the fat cord supplied did a super job of installing the gasket. I couldn't be more pleased. Cord is probably 30' long but I didn't measure.

Used to put the back window in my Chevy C10. Worked as it should. Was very easy to use and did not have any problems with it. A little trick I found out was to soak it in soapy water before using it.
