The Root & Vessel Majestic MCM Low Profile Cylinder Pots are recyclable and proudly made in the USA. For best results and to promote healthy plants when planting, create a drainage layer on the bottom of the pot by adding a medium such as pebbles, pumice, or clay pieces. The drainage layer should be about 2-3 inches. To prevent overwatering when using outdoors, expose the bottom drainage holes by removing the built-in tray. Add potting mix and fill the container up to 1" from the top. Add or transplant your favorite plant to the pot. Position the planter in an area that will allow the plant to receive the recommended amount of sunlight. After initial planting, refer to the after-care instructions for each specific plant species and water accordingly.

I loveee this planter! Much more stable and high end looking than the more rounded ones you get at Lowe's/Home Depot. The 8.5" is actually really big, I ended up returning and ordering the 6.5" for my small snake plant. The bottom is snug but still comes off easily for watering/drainage.

Works great as a plastic planter. Looks plastic. Looks cheap. Price is cheap. I was lured in my the word “mid century” in the description! Will use it, but not anywhere near view!

The dimensions listed online are accurate. I used this planter to repot a plant that always seems to need more water than all the other plants. Of course I've killed plants before by overwatering so I'm always afraid I'm going to overdo it. Having the attached drainage tray is really nice. It makes overwatering less of an issue. My plant seems to be happier - doesn't wilt as much. The pot itself is plastic. It's not super thick or anything, actually on the thinner side, but that's what I wanted because I put it inside a decorative ceramic pot. It's appropriately priced for what you're getting and easy to use.

These are high quality plastic pots for any larger plants. The material is thick but lightweight. The color is matte. These are great pots which can be used separately from the bottom plate or with the bottom water-catching attachment. The bottom just snaps off which is nice for whichever way you prefer to use the pot. The pot is also pretty tall to support plant growth and root growth and digging down into the soil.

This planter is great. It is a great size and it works well for what I need it for. It has a decent amount of drainage holes and it’s very sturdy for the price. Color was fine. Material is fine as well.

It's a pretty pot at a great price! I currently have a zulu giant in it. I use it more as a cover pot with a nursery pot inside. I love the simple, matte black look and the light weight—easy to carry and move around when it's time to water the plant. The drainage works pretty well, too. Overall, I'm happy with it (:
