EDIT: The seller reached out and replaced this for me, and the new one is working well so far. Thank you to the seller for providing good service!It was nice while it actually functioned. Burned out real quick and seemingly won't charge anymore. Back to regular candle lighters for me, I'd recommend skipping this thing.

The lighter does its job, but has no child safety lock. It's just an easy switch and a button press. I wish there was some kind of mechanism to keep young kids from operating it just to be safe.For some this might be a good thing. If you have small children, then I would not recommend this lighter.

This is a great device! So easy to light my candles without having to mash and hold buttons to light. My hands/fingers aren't strong enough to use other lighters, but this one is so easy, no fuel, AND it's rechargeable. I'm getting them for gifts. Love it!

This is great. It's cheap, charges quickly, and you get a lot of use out of each charge. I've never owned a plasma lighter before, or used any other, so I have nothing to which I can compare it.But, on its own merits, I like it. I bought it primarily to remove static electricity from vinyl records. Just hold it an inch or two over the record, give it a good wave around the record, going in and out from the center to the edge of the LP as you go around, and you're good after a few seconds. It really works. I have one of those static guns that costs 10x this, but it's so aggravating to use.Plus, yes, it lights candles.I can't say how many lights you get out of it per charge, but it's a lot. Probably more than fifty? And then recharging it takes under an hour, easily. It's quick.

I originally bought this arc lighter on 1/28/2020. It is now 7/14/2024. Note: In 2020 this lighter was charged by a USB-to-micro-USB cable (the current version is charged with a USB-to-USB-C cable!).I was highly skeptical of this product, but decided to try it in order to save money/frustration with traditional matches.I never had a problem with it. From the first use, to the very last, it was a breeze to use and did exactly what I thought it would do. Hard to describe, but it's actually FUN to use (more than actual matches). It's also MUCH MUCH safer and all these negative reviews talking about how the soot is covering the lighting tips are so silly. Just clean the tips with a sturdy, dry cloth and it's back to working like new.Today, sadly, the lighter I bought in 2020 lit its last candle before dying completely (unable to charge/light anymore). The picture included in this review was taken moments after it died. I lit hundreds of candles with it over a 4+ year time span. I'm now on Amazon 15min later writing this review as I buy two more of them (these newer ones now come with a USB-C charging port/cable). I'm excited to get my new arc lighters and I sincerely hope the company that makes this lighter is doing well. It looks like they were able to add better pictures and even an advertisement video with a paid actor (i.e. you can tell the company is doing well).Note: Originally I bought this lighter for $17! It's now $13 for TWO OF THEM. The price went down! I cannot recommend this product enough and I sincerely hope this review helps you with your purchase.

Worked better than I thought it would. I primarily use it to light the BBQ. Little tougher than a traditional flame light as you have to be a bit more accurate. But so far lasts quite awhile on a charge and keeps working. Was even able to light one of those wood wicked candles again more difficult than a flame lighter but not by much.

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter who just moved into her own place. She’s in college and was just so excited to get it and try it out! My mom also decided she wanted one after seeing it, and I do too! It’s SO much easier and safer to use than the long lighter ones, or matches, for sure. I love that it will last indefinitely as it charges and does not need fuel. We tested it out on a regular jar candle and birthday candles, worked perfectly . I will definitely keep it in mind for stocking stuffers or just a little practical gift alone or added to maybe a nice candle! A great new gadget!

I am really loving this electric ARC lighter! I never had one before, only a “BIC” style disposable torch to light my candles. This is a different, but excellent system to light the wick and it hasn’t failed yet! I love the fact that I never have to buy another lighter again (unless this breaks, lol), just recharge this one. Speaking of recharging the unit, I have not done it yet, so not sure if it works or the charge takes long. I am still working off the initial charge when it came. I love the gooseneck design too, how it bends to where you need it and there’s no chance of getting burned. Excellent product! Well priced, reliable, durable and well made.

En invierno me gusta tener velas en casa. Hasta ahora, aquellas que estan en recipientes hondos al encendenlas, te quemabas si o si. No tenia ni ideade este tipo de aparatos y busque uno de gas, no duran mucho, laverdad, son como los encendedores que cada dia duran menos.puesbien, vi este producto y lo compré un poco esceptica, la verdad? Funciona de maravilla. Lo recomiendo. Muy útil para los amantes de las velas
