So much fun to do! The instructions are clear and it's great quality! This is an advanced level quit. A lot of finding the right pieces from the multiple bags, cutting and gluing (glue is like a liquid hot glue texture and comes with it). If you've never done miniatures before, I'd recommend starting with the greenhouse, which uses double sided stickers, things are all pre-cut, and tells you which bags you can find each piece. I started with the Greenhouse, then did the medium level Coffee Shop (which uses white craft glue), then the Magic Emporium.

I did enjoy putting this together, but suspect it was a bit ambitious for my first attempt. I went off book quite a bit. The directions were not great but YouTube videos helped. Ultimately I chose to skip or ignore a lot of the “build this by twisting wire then adhere cardboard/stickers/individual petals. Basically several items were a pain and didn’t look great completed anyway. I also found the finished look busy and chose to pare down a lot. I added a few things and left off several other things, but it was fun to build.

I bought this kit as soon as I saw it on Amazon. It was incredibly fun to create and I absolutely love the theme. There are several items within the kit that are a bit time-intensive and require steady hands so I don't recommend for any children younger than 16 but it was such a fun build and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves building models and loves detectives (especially 1940s detectives) as much as I do!

This was my first miniature build and it was fun! It was very overwhelming at first and took a while to get the hang of it, but don’t let it scare you away! I even attempted the lighting and unfortunately missed a step so I couldn’t get it to work, but I was proud of myself for actually getting the wires attached and working in the first step! Looking forward to building another just to get it lit.I think the directions were pretty well done, but could have been even better- more explanation or pictures- but they are pretty good for all of the fine detail. Looking at the assembly progression photos really helped me put it all together. I needed to use my fine point craft scissors for this one, and my needle nose pliers and definitely my hot glue gun for some of the parts, so be prepared for that. This thing is so cute and fits perfectly on any shelf or mantel! I’m excited to display mine and show everyone all the tiny little things I built!I’d say the hardest part was getting the wires to bend in the correct ways- my table, chairs, and barstools all came out super wonky because of the wire not bending just right. I guess that’s the difference between a beginner and a professional! But I’m definitely a beginner and thought this whole thing was very doable. Just takes a lot of time and patience. It probably took my 15 ish hours maybe?? That’s a total guess. Anyway, such a fun project!! Worth the work!

This was my first mini DIY dollhouse type project. I've made jewelry and various other crafts my whole life so I'm very comfortable with pliers and glues and such so I wouldn't consider myself a complete novice, but I'm very bad at following instructions. I found this kit to be a delight. All the materials were provided except for glue, pliers, scissors, batteries and paint. I contacted the company because I wanted to use the glue they recommended and they responded immediately to my request. However, because of US customs they are unable to send batteries, paint and glue. Not a biggy as I have those items at home. Everything else needed is provided in the box, if anything there were extra materials. I was able to follow the instructions easily enough (which is really remarkable for me). It took me about 30 hours give or take to complete the project. I will buy another kit from this company for sure. None of the pieces broke as I read in some reviews of other kits. My only negative comments would be 1) I wish the instructions gave some tips on how to secure the items for gluing (but this does come with practice and experience); and 2) I wish there was an acrylic dust cover that either came with the kit or could be purchased to fit this project. I would feel comfortable buying this kit as a gift for someone who is crafty and has patience for details. I am thinking of making one for my dad as a gift. I really love the finished product. I will say that the pieces are SUPER tiny, like some of them were slipping from my tiny child-sized fingers. The tweezers provided in the kit were not very sturdy so I used my own, but even with tweezers, some items were round and couldn't really be held with tweezers. I'm 47 now, don't think I'll be able to do these in like 20 years when my hands and eyes won't be as spry. I'm off to shop for my next kit . . . .

I've done other kits like this, and compared to those, this kit is not great. The paper components are printed on a home-quality printer. Even the paper that goes on as flooring is this low quality print job. Also the instructions are very hard to understand, and in some cases do not show necessary steps, so you have to guess how to do it. Also the paint is very thin and you can't get the right colour no matter how many coats you do. I did six coats of green and then gave up.
