The NE-10 Noise Eater is a unique sound isolation board designed specifically for use with V-Drums kick pads/pedals and hi-hat control pedals. Thanks to its multiple dome-shaped rubber dampers, placing the NE-10 under a pedal/pad dramatically reduces the transfer of noises and vibrations through the floor caused by normal playing. This allows users in multi-level buildings to enjoy V-Drums freely without disturbing people occupying rooms or dwellings below. The NE-10 Noise Eater is very easy and convenient to use, with a compact, low-profile design that doesn’t affect feel or playability.

I recently moved into a second floor apartment and needed something to reduce the noise of my kick pedal. I bought a KT 9 Roland pedal to go along with it and it does a great job of reducing the noise on the floor. It feels well made and is actually decently heavy. I did try it with my Alesis kick tower and that did still produce a decent thump on carpet and tile.I’d very much recommend getting this isolation board with a KT 9 pedal.

Totally non clear explanation and the cost is over any logic.

Tested the amount of vibrations felt by my downstairs neighbor before and after this, he said "literally no difference". If you're looking for a shortcut to building a sound/vibration isolation platform, better to spend your money on the parts to build that instead.

Roland products are VERY HIGH LEVEL professional gear. The isolation board is beautiful and professional in design and quality. I see complaints to include - its just rubber or not worth it... sounds like from musicians looking for cheap homemade solutions to their sound volume issues. BUT if you want to put yourself in a PRO level gear drummer than this isolation board is exactly what you need because it is new technology and fantastic in achieving a professional look and state of mind.

I ordered 6 of these for my Roland electronic drum kit, in addition to the Roland NE-10's. I'm living in an apartment, and trying not to get any noise complaints while playing my kit.I play progressive metal and I go very hard and fast on the double-kick. I can notice an obvious difference in the amount of noise generated from playing and while these don't completely quite things down, they do help suppress the amount of noise generated from the vibration. For me I would say maybe 45-50% of the noise is absorbed in comparison to not using them, but again I hit very hard on my double-kick pedals, so I wouldn't expect them to be the end all be all.I would recommend these to other drummers looking to quiet things down a bit, but as stated in the headline, $30 is asking a bit much for a product that doesn't appear to cost more than $5 to produce. That being said, their aren't many other options for this on the market that I was able to find.

We use the Noise eater under my Wife's High Hat Stand for her Roland V-Drums. It really does reduce the noise transfer into the ground. However, it does make the High Hat Stand a little wobbly, however this is not noticeable during play.

It's pricey, but pretty effective for reducing vibration from Hi-Hat stand and Roland electronic drum stand.
