This has pretty good sound for a sound bar for me anyway I was not looking for anything fancy. As a longtime fire stick user I decided to try this Roku Streambar. I’m happy with the sound, but if you’re looking for some big stereotype surround sound, this is not it. The problem I have with it is the Roku program that’s built into this string bar is not the best however, when I contacted customer service, they immediately replaced it but still sometimes I have the same problem with this sound bar as I did with the original one. Just all of a sudden it goes mute and you have to back out of whatever you’re watching or whatever streaming service you’re on and then go back in for it too work again, but customer service was great.

Purchased refurbished and saved a little,performance is good upgrade, you probably will buy more like I did... speakers to add on ate easy peezy... just cost a little more but worth every penny.

I was doomed. My N streaming service kept telling me my television would no longer work with the latest update. This set is in my shop, and provides background noise when shop tools are being quiet. But not enough noise. So I bought the Roku unit with the sound bar and am happy with the sound, and functionality of the device. I enjoy the included programming and ease of access to my streaming providers. Change the TV input, and the outside antenna takes over.The one weakness I am experiencing is the connector for the digital audio output. I have not figured out how to lock in those connectors, so they loosely fit right now.

Spent a lot of time on the phone with Roku tech support and those clowns have NO IDEA what they are taking about. As you can see from the photo, you cannot use this soundbar AND the wireless speakers. You must choose one or the other, and the wireless speakers are much better. Such a shame as they advertise the bundle of the speakers, sub, and soundbar but that’s not a possible configuration on a Roku TV. It can only be done if you use the building streaming stick in the sound bar, and if you do, you loose your coax and other TV benefits. Not easy to use. Not a possible setup. You’ll waste lots of time with tech support for something that’s supposed to be simple and just work. That was NOT my experience! Do not recommend the Roku branded sound bars.

Older smart tv that apps no longer worked. I was connecting my laptop for so long! Getting up everytime I need to start a new episode, etc.. I needed a soundbar and found this option. Awesome! It sounds just as good (and probably better) as my old Samsung but also doubles as Roku! Perfect combo to make my out-dated (but still perfect picture tv) feel like new. If you’re a sound nerd, Roku sells a subwoofer and still cheaper than the Samsung. All the apps you would expect from a new smart tv along with voice remote and easy to navigate system. Say what I’m looking for and it shows me my watch options. Love it! Side note: my can likes to jump on my tv stand and often I would come home to my soundbar on the floor. This has a sturdy base that my cat hasn’t been able to knock off. Bonus!

Our old soundbar got an electical hit when power was restored. The new soundbar is half the size and produces better sound than the old one. Setup was automatic as the system already had settings for a soundbar. The was original was easy to install also.

This is a fantastic device combination that removes all the complexity of multiple devices. The inclusion of Roku in a soundbar replaces the terrible built in speakers for an old LG “dumb” tv and is a single remote solution.Setup was a snap and it even controls the power to the tv via IR so no need to keep the tv remote just for power.Roku, as always is super easy to use with all the streaming services available. The built in Apple AirPlay lets me share my device wirelessly and seamlessly.Cannot recommend enough!

The sound quality is clear improvement over TV sound. With the new 'cinema sound' firmware update upon installation, sound quality undergoes a clear upgrade. Kept these because they deliver a good mix of sound and convenience--both in size and device control (sort of). Comparing to a Bose Soundbar II and a 150W Meredo Soundbar for TV. Bose sound quality is superior--but does not have ARC. Meredo is louder, has ARC, but poorer sound quality.Swapped stereo receiver plus Dolby 5.1 setup from master bedroom and Bose Companion 5 PC sound from Guest bedroom for two these with no net loss. HUGE gains in complexity and wiring in one room, and easier standalone TV command without any need for 'PC controls' in other. 5.1 was too much for bedroom. Streambar is a much better fit. Companion 5 sound had an edge in bass because of sub-woofer but otherwise comparable sound capability.Big issue is the remote compatibility challenge among Roku devices. Streambar needs to be set up with its own remote to trigger software update and device registration in my Roku account--allows for phone-based control of Roku devices. HiSense Roku TV remote would not do that. Also, Streambar remote does not offer the same TV control of HiSense TV as its own remote. Roku and its partners have some work to do there.At the end of the day, having one remote that (mostly) does it all is a winner!
