Really surprised these are great. Replaced a very expensive set of rockford fossgates with these. In aluminum cans.

The mount to hold the hex nuts in place rounded out with simply hand tightening, Would recommend a washer and a lock nut.Decent speakers for the price, but the mounting needs reinforcing. Went with washers and a lock nut. Worked fine

Just hooked these up to my home stereo to test before installing on the boat. Using my 1970 era Panasonic home amp pushing 30 watts a side these puppies performed magnificently. I can’t wait to hook these up to my Rockville dBM50 and really see how these perform.

Originally they weren't loud when I installed them , figured out the issue was the amp and now I can actually hear my music behind the boat, take it doesn't sound loud when your being towed but everyone else on the lake will be able to hear the music as well!

I was choosing between the swivel model and the fixed model. It does NOT really swivel. There is a screw from the inside of the mount into the top of the speaker. The mount has ridges that fit against the top of the speaker that has divots. In order to swivel the speakers, you have to loosen the screw on the inside of the mount, turn the speaker and tighten the screw. It doesn't actually swivel and costs $20 more. Not to mention that since the screw resides on the inside of the mount, I would have to unmount the entire speaker first before I can get at the screw to turn it in the direction I want. Overall, it is a turn it into the direction you want, screw it in and its fixed until you unscrew the whole thing and readjust.Mine also came with enough long screws and only 3 of the shorter screws. I need 8 short screws in total. Otherwise, the screw will reach all the way to the top of the speaker when screwed in.These have been mounted rear facing on the tow bar of my tritoon. I intend on using it more to have music when at the sandbar. I do not intend on cranking them up so it should fit my needs in terms of volume. I have 75 watts running into them each.

I really like these speakers. They produce loud clean sound. Easy to install and affordable. I thought installing them low to the deck like in the picture. Would rob them of their potential, But I was wrong. Still clean and loud. I went with an amplifier to install them with. I would suggest the same thing for anyone else to do the same thing. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
