I was surprised on these little rascals. I'm an Old Head from Miami that grew on bass. I've had or new someone with every woofer made. I must say i am quit happy with two little 8s. Its best to add some insulation to the inside of the box .Insulation materials like foam and fiberglass minimize distortion and resonance, optimizing bass frequencies for precise and clear sound. For those who don't know.

Rockville is known for a bad reputation, but these are surprisingly good. I have the dual 8 inch version and for the price they have done great. Great sound quality and very nice box

Sounds good, don’t put the boss 1100 to it though it makes it sound weird.(and damaged my one box) so I bought two and hooked it up to the boss 3000 wat, and it’s crazy, they sound good for a good price, and are good quality, and fit in the trunk of my compact Chevy cobalt, so there good size, installation is easy but just make sure you’re using the proper grade wire and, 8 gauge for sub, an .0 gauge for the power, better to over do then under do, it peaks a 1500 watts and the boss amp i bought says 3000 but is more like 2500, I never was able to make them peek at the advertised specs.

Went from duel 12inch Jensens to these duel 8 inch Rockville hands down sounds 10 times better these little 8s kick hard and bring out more bass the Jensens didn't even notice totally worth every penny will definitely be buying some more In the 4000 watt range (running Jensen 1000 watt mono Amp with these very clean)

These 8" subwoofers really rock! The speaker box was bigger than I expected also. Very nice speakers for the money. Highly recommend.

I bought this to install in my 2015 Kia Optima. I've never had subs before, but decided I was going to try and figure out how to install them myself (with the help of many good YouTube tutorials). I'm not going to lie, the install process was not easy for a first-timer like myself, but I got it done and now they sound great!I paired them with a Boss 1100 Watt Amp (825 Watt RMS) and TOPSTRONGGEAR Amp wiring kit (4 gauge). A lot of the negative reviews I saw online seemed like things that were probably just caused by bad wiring. Then I noticed that most of Amazon's top selling amp wiring kits (including the Boss Wiring Kit that had an avg 4.5 rating!) had a bunch of really terrible reviews about power wires skimping on the gauge. So I opted to play it safe and got a higher quality wiring kit (and 4 gauge power wires which was definitely overkill).A note about the install process: Don't listen to videos that say this will only take 2-3 hours. Just getting everything hooked up took me almost my entire weekend. Then my amp kept going into Protection Mode and I eventually realized it was just because I hadn't grounded it well enough. Apparently you have to be VERY good about sanding off all of the paint on something like a seat-bolt to get a good enough connection.
