Not a noticeable improvement from a much cheaper revo variant aside from suction power. This thing runs over full sized plates I leave for my pets and THICK industrial cables coming from above down to the groundSmall things like bottle caps, I can understand. A whole plate is just stupid. It has multiple cameras and lidar, so I don’t get itX30 or revo S on sale now for ~$800 makes way more sense. These guys sell their FLAGSHIPS with more features for sub $800 in China, then region lock them and try to sell NA versions for triple the price at release lol. And they’re still not ready for prime time yetPeople talking about “life changing” coming from 8 year old roombas are not reliable sources of information. There are way too many options now to be comparing $2000 robots to roombasOn the plus side, roborock still has one of the best apps in the business

Wednesday April 19. I received it, and left it plugged in and docked overnight to get it charged up completely before really using it, while I read the instructions.Thursday April 20, I mapped and cleaned a couple rooms on the upstairs of the house. Then mapped and cleaned a couple rooms downstairs. Then attempted to map and clean the upstairs laundry room/bedroom.However, when using it in the laundry room, it stopped, and I received a msg that it was stuck.I checked it, moved it, and tried to restart. It kept trying to move, but would only go in a partial circle, and stop.It seems like one of the main drive wheels locks up when moving forward. When I move the wheel backwards half a turn, it frees up, and will then move properly again… until energized again.I called support, who told me to push down on it, and roll it back and forth 7 or 8 times, to get the wheels moving. I questioned this, but he insisted that that’s what they tell people to do…?I did this, but did not fix it.He said he would send an email message to next level support, which he did.I received an email that night at 2am (Thurs night), asking for more info as to purchase and registration, and also if I could send a video.I responded with the video, and the requested info.Friday night, (2am) I get another response asking if it does this in other locations, and if so, I would need to send it in for repair.I responded right away saying it does it everywhere, regardless of location.Saturday evening (8pm), I receive a message that I need to send it back for repair.I need towait 3 days for a return postage emailBox, and send it, another dayWait (maybe a week), for it to show up wherever the repair depot is.Wait (probably another week), for someone to open it up, and confirm its all there. Then they might send me a replacement (maybe refurbished??) until mine is fixed? Or maybe send me a new one..?Wait another week to get the replacement.I think this is absolutely horrible!I have had this machine for 4 hours! Now I have had to make phone calls, 4 emails, anxiety around what’s going to happen with it? How long will it take?I just wanted to get a great machine, to work, because I needed it this week… not 5 days from now, not 3 weeks from now…. NOW.So, I’ve returned this unit on Amazon, and bought a brand new unit. Yes, I’m out almost $4000 (for the time being), in vacuums. (I would never have thought that I would ever say that), But I need this unit now, and I’m done waiting until you get your “processes” followed, and all your customers leave.I’ll receive it tomorrow – THANKS AMAZON!PS. I will be posting this message on every forum I can find (and that’s a lot!). And my daughter is very, very good on tiktok and insta. She really wants me to post a “re-boxing” video to publish.

Honest review from someone with every floor type after 3 months of heavy use. Highly recommend the Qrev Curv, pros and cons below. At the time of writing this review we have 63hrs and 3,013m2 (32,431ft2) of use on this machine. In my house we have two cats, two people with long hair, and we entertain guests. We also have a mix of area rugs, tile, hardwood, and high-pile carpet. The main floor size is about 82m2 [1,000ft2]. After shopping around and reading reviews (BTW, I highly recommend watching Vacuum Wars Reviews on YouTube), the threshold feature put us over the top. The vac runs 4 times per week and we spot clean on demand. The battery does not dip below 60% after intensive cleaning. It has only gotten stuck twice, and in both cases, we learned how to prevent it in the future. It is very smart about avoiding obstacles, and we haven’t had a problem with it running over anything unintended. Right now, my wife and I are of the opinion that if it makes it 1 year working like it has, we would rebuy in a heartbeat.Pros: It handles all the flooring types very well. It has been excelling on tile, hardwood, and low pile area rugs. The high pile does an OK job but leaves drag marks from the side bristle. If your area is more than 50% high pile be aware of that because you will notice the tracks. The App is also very impressive. It mapped my house quickly and in extreme detail. Sectioning off the house was very easy and we have a schedule feature set up for light cleaning 3 days a week plus one deep clean day that gets everything. We also constantly use it for spot cleaning when our kids make a mess. It will mop out most unset stains or most sticky messes. There have been a few times when something had to be hand washed because the vac couldn’t get it out but those were more spot treatments than general use.Cons: With a 4-day-a-week cleaning schedule, the water tank lasts about 2 weeks max. The box also does not come with any kind of detergent, so if you want soap you need to buy it upfront. Also, the dirty tank will smell very bad when you clean it. I’ve gotten into the habit of cleaning it once or twice a week and adding white vinegar to keep things from growing in the tank between maintenance. Lastly, you need to let it map everything in the house at once during startup. We have a ground-floor master and had it closed off because a baby. When the baby moved to their own room, we wanted Rocky to start vacuuming the master bedroom. However, it had mapped the floorplan to the door only and wouldn’t go in and learn the new room. To get it to do the bedroom, it meant having it remap the entire main floor, which is 90min process for us specifically. From there, we tell it which rooms to skip or block it off with doors or furniture when we want it to skip something.

We are two weeks into owning our first robot vacuum (the Qrevo Edge) and my wife's exact words after day 3 was "this is lifechanging for me". We have 3 hair shedding pets, kids and full time jobs. It was already a challenge to even vacuum the entire house once a week, any regular mopping was absolutely out of the question. For reference, our floors consist of some carpet, several large area rugs/runners, but mostly tile that is indistinguishable from real wood floors) - Tiles are ADA approved so they do have quite a bit of 'texture' to make them non-slip. The Qrevo Edge has no issues sucking up any debris from the textured tiles, nor does the mop have any issues thoroughly cleaning them. It does an amazing job distinguishing tile from rugs and the corner sweep and mop extension capability is just amazing.Setup is honestly a breeze. just a few parts to put together for the base, and add sweeping brush and mop pads to the main unit & download the app. I don't remember if the first thing it did was dock itself and fully charge, or if it went ahead and ran around the house mapping before fully charging. After it had performed it's inaugural run using default settings (Vac & Mop), and I started working on custom routines and schedules. Once completed, it ran on schedule without any further prompting from me with the exception of alerting me to dump & refill the mop solution (by voice from the device during awake hours and app alerts on my phone). I also received only ONE error after it's initial run in which the dock reported an blockage issue. The volume of hair/debris got clogged at the gate just before entering the bag - I pulled out a seriously dense clump of dog/cat hair with chunks of dried mud that all came out in one 'pull'. This only happened during the initial run and has not happened since. I had honestly expected the robot to clog up but to it's credit no hair was on the rollers and it's pretty clear to me the base suction when emptying the robot is more than adequate to pull everything out of the robot itself. We probably had not vacuumed for two weeks prior to the initial run, and now it runs daily so I do not expect that to ever happen again.I do have a few suggestions for your initial setup: The robot's first run around your house is just for mapping only, it uses lidar, is amazingly accurate and fast (as in you won't be able to get in front of it and clear paths quick enough). Prep your house BEFORE you start it. It really is so much easier to start with a clean mapping vs having to make edits to the map and your routines because a door was closed and it couldn't map somewhere, or it picks up an obstacle that normally will not be there and puts it on your map. This is key as it will both make you map editing much easer later on (should you need it), and make setting up routines easier. Note the built in device Lidar does an amazing job at this task!- I put the breakfast and dining room chairs upside down on top of their respective tables to clear the floor. Map dose show the table legs as obstacles but by lifting the chairs I avoided having the chair legs also create perceived barriers.- I also picked up any floor baskets, small rugs (shower mats, bathroom mats, etc.. - don't worry, the software will adjust for the rugs during a later run when you add them back). I also recommend doing the same for any movable furniture that will shift around (*like small foot rests/ottomans, desk chairs, etc.) Place them out of the way for the first run if possible.Once mapped you can use the app to edit and add walls. We have a common, shared space with the kitchen/living room that I added a line to divide the spaces (and name accordingly). This was the space I edited 2x to get it right where I wanted it to be (was a bit difficult on a small phone screen). If you error with a wall - just use the option to merge the two rooms together and then edit again to add the virtual wall back in. *Just give the app about 30-45 seconds after you save to update on the screen. The No-Go Zone worked perfectly and after it's creation the robot quit trying to vacuum the Christmas Tree skirt. The zone is easily removed once I no longer need it. Just play with the cleaning settings if you find the default is not good enough, and keep making adjustments until your happy with the outcomes. For us, the major compromise is if I have it use multi pass, and have the Vacuum set to Turbo with Mopping set to High Water flow - it's going to take all day as it will have to recharge at least twice (and I suspect more likely a 3rd time) to cover the almost 2k sqft downstairs. Charging takes several hours to complete. For now, we are trying 2 basic cleaning schedules where on Mon, Tue & Thurs, Fri it runs a quick vacuum only (multi-pass) routine of the common use areas starting at 7am in the morning & then it gets the rest of the bedrooms/bathrooms in the afternoon when the doors are more likely open and available to clean. On Wed/Sat it runs duplicated routines but they are programmed to initially vacuum then Mop using the Heavy settings of those same areas. Sunday I can manually send it to clean the sun room which it can get down into but not back up and out of due to the door's weatherproof threshold and house elevation for stepping down to what was an outdoor porch. I'm going to try 3d printing a ramp after Christmas to fix the exiting issue - but for now, I just listen out for it to alert and then lift it back over the threshold so it can return to it's dock).I'm really glad I waited until this level of robot cleaner was available. I've had friends with much earlier models (from other vendors) and this is clearly a massive improvement for both functionality and App UI. I like this so much I will be considering purchasing a 2nd one for upstairs later this year. At this point, the only outstanding question is durability.... I'll follow up if there are any issues there.

I was excited about its suction power (strongest in the market as advertised). The first week it was wonderful doing its vacuuming and mopping job. Eventually, however, it started releasing dirt it picked up all over the house and completely not picking up anything. I still had my roomba from 10 years ago so I used that to clean up after this.

I love, love, love this robot vacuum. I took a chance and ordered two (one for each of the primary floors of house). I could not be happier!! I have used another popular brand for years, but that other brand required constant attention and maintenance, and never performed to the level I really wanted. When I saw these advertised, I decided to give it a try! I am so glad I did. The cleaning is far superior to the other brand, and the mopping is an added plus that I didn't have before. I have 6 cats, so I run these almost daily, and the vacuums do a great job on staying on top of cat hair and keeping my floors cleaned and mopped. Also, the robots did an exceptional job of mapping my floors. The prior brand could take hours mapping the floor layout. This robot did it mere minutes with great accuracy! The app is very easy once downloaded. Finally, I love that these robots clean and sanitize themselves. I don't have to constantly clean or detangle! The only thing the prior brand may have been slightly better at was recognizing cords, but this is an easy fix as I have ensured all cords are now out of way. I will never go back to the prior popular brand! These robots are worth every penny!
