  • This is the SPORT MODEL - Short Handle - Comes With Both Manual and Automatic Reset Handles - The sport model is for fiberglass boats and also works with aluminum boats that have a directly mounted standard U bolt bow eye that does NOT have a thisck mounting plate about it. This model is common and works on 95 percent of boats out there. This specific model DOES NOT Work on aluminum LUND, alumunum Alumacraft, Aluminum Ranger or Tracker boats. Please refer to our other models for these setups.
  • Stainless Steel NON Corrosive - Upgraded Stolts Polyurethane Protector - Comes with a small Roller on the front to prevent the bow tip from catching when launching - Built in poly washer on the mouting plate for a smooth pivoting rotation - Clamp travels past the polyurethane to prevent steel on steel wear to your bow eye when latching and traveling - Low profile design to prevent boat and trailer displacement after install
  • Installation of the Boat2Trailer automatic boat latch is very simple. This boat latch is designed to be a bow roller replacement, therefore it is a one bolt installation. You can simply remove your bow roller from your boat trailer and install our Ramp N Clamp Boat2Trailer automatic boat latch in its place. The installation takes roughly 10 minutes. Be sure to use roughly 22 - 26 ft lbs pressure on the insall bolt (snug). This way your latch can still pivot when needed at steeper landings.
  • MADE IN USA - Our Boat2Trailer Latch by Ramp N Clamp is manufactured here in the U.S.A. The automatic boat latch by Ramp N Clamp has been collaboratively engineered at Skeeter, Ranger and Mastercraft boats and in production in the United States since 2012.
  • What it does - The automatic boat latch allows you to load a boat by your self in seconds. You simply drive your boat up the trailer. Once the eye of the boat comes in contact with the clamp device, it will lock onto the eye and lock your boat to the trailer. You then exit the boat and pull to the dry waters edge to hookup your safety chain and strap for travel. It's that easy. Boat2Trailer dot com has many helpful videos as well.

This automatic boat latch replaces a boat roller, bow roller or boat bumper on a boat trailer. The Sport model is designed specifically for fiberglass boats or most aluminum boats that have a bow eye that is directly mounted into the boat without a mounting plate. Their can not be any mounting plate above the eye. If you have a mounting plate above the eye (typically ALUMINUM Lund and alumacraft boats) you must look up our Model L. If you have an aluminum thick eye you must look up our Model T. (see visual of models and bow eyes in the product images above). This is the SHORT HANDLE version. It will come with 2 interchangable short handles. A manual reset handle and an automatic reset handle. HOW TO USE: The RNC Automatic boat latch on Boat2Trailer is a NON corrosive fully stainless steel clamping system. It has a 1 inch thick Stoltz Polyurethane protector to give your boat the best protection. The Ramp N Clamp boat loading and boat launching system is a fast 1 bolt installation and very easy to use. Load a boat by yourself in seconds with the Boat2Trailer Latch. Back your trailer into the water. Then exit the vehicle, walk down to the doc and enter the boat. Now simply drive your boat into the trailer just above idle speed. Once you reach the Boat2Trailer Latch clamp it will automatically lock onto the eye of your boat. Once locked, you may shut down and raise the motor of your boat. Exit the boat to the dock. Now walk up to and enter the vehicle. Drive your boat and trailer forward to the dry waters edge. Now exit the vehicle and hookup your strap for safe travel. That's it. It's that simple. The automatic boat latch on Boat2Trailer Installs between a 3" - 4 1/2" roller bracket (universal). Install of the Boat2Trailer Latch is extremeley easy. It is a direct replacement for a roller or bumper on a trailer. You remove the current roller on your trailer and replace it with the Ramp N Clamp automatic boat loading system on Boat2Trailer. It's a 1 bolt install.

Handiest investment I’ve made boat-wise in a while! This unit is installed on my 25ft 4500lb walkaround boat’s trailer, and it’s worth another set of competent hands at the boat ramp. Worth the price when launching/loading alone or with someone who can’t drive the boat or back down a trailer.First, the quick-release latch makes launching a breeze; I remove my ratchet strap and the safety chain, back the trailer down, climb into and start the boat, then with one good yank my boat slides off the trailer and I’m free to tie off at the dock. All without having to try and hang down off the bow and unhook the strap, or unhooking before climbing up into the boat and then possibly letting the boat float free with no one on board.Secondly and even better, loading is now a BREEZE;I back down my trailer to the point I’ve marked on my PVC boat guides (where I know the trailer and boat will slide together easily), then I get into the boat, line everything up, and when my bow makes contact and is centered on this latch, I simply give it a little throttle and the latch holds my boat in place! Then it’s just pulling the truck up, connecting the strap and safety chain, and I’m good to go!Installation was super simple and the directions are easy to follow, the metal hasn’t shown any sign of corrosion even having been used exclusively in salt water (with a water hose rinse every time I get home), and this unit is made with quality materials all around, hefty enough to hold my boat securely and very easy to operate.I’ll be buying another for my aluminum boat’s trailer, and then for any other boats I own in the future!GREAT product, would give 6 stars if the option was available!

If the landing is pretty flat it works most of the time. If the landing is steep it rarely works. I have to have it almost vertical to make it catch the latch if you are lined up perfectly. I adjusted my post every way I could and tried every hole I could on the latch and trailer. I have a 1990 Ranger 680T and a Shorlander 2000 lb trailer with a profile 2000 receiver. If your boat doesn’t have good forward protruding angle to slide in the catch, Good Luck. The front of my boat is angled slightly and all the latch wants to do is go flat to the trailer. I purchased a magnet flag to put on my post to maybe line up my boat to trailer better. The jury is still out but doubtful.

I mounted it on my trailer to use with my 2011 Lowe Stinger. So far I'm not really impressed with it. It probably works well on "Almost Level Boat Ramps", but not so great with ramps that have an incline. Hopefully it'll work better in the future, and I may can edit my review.

Our ramp is pretty steep. When putting the boat on the trailer I would have to leave the motor about 1/4 throttle while I put the hook and strap on or the boat would slide back. This makes it very easy to trailer the boat when fishing by myself.
