To start with, the guide template that comes with the kit is poorly designed and lacks accuracy. It was difficult to align properly, which led to several misaligned holes and a lot of wasted time. The instructions provided are vague and not very helpful, leaving you to figure out the process through trial and error. The carbon-steel hole saw itself is another major letdown. Despite being labeled as "high-quality," it struggles to cut through even standard wooden doors efficiently. It tends to overheat quickly and dulls after just a few uses, which is frustrating when you're trying to get a clean cut.

Though the item description suggests you can use it on entry doors which are typically metal exteriors, you might get through one door with it.I used this on one of my back doors, wood core and metal exteriors. Even running the drill in reverse through the metal bits took a toll on the hole saw. The second door I tried to tacke I ended up having to mark where the hole needed to be and cut the metal with a dremel and then use the hole saw for the wood part.All in all, this is a budget friendly kit that did the job with a little extra effort.
