Flares RK’s special rivet pin hole rivet links. New design allows components to lock into tool body and larger pressure bolt for easier use without dropping tool components. Note – Tool is not able to rivet 420/428 type chains without (FP428JP & PH428) *sold separately. Redesigned sure-grip handle and laser engraved part number for easier part identification. The new press fit holder plate features a reversible post to switch between clip plate and rivet plate. The redesigned Rivet Flare Pin now features a flare guard to prevent over riveting. Limited lifetime on material and craftsmanship of the Tool Body.

Bottom Line - Don’t waste your money on any other tool - go with this one!!I’ve been trying to put my new chain on but I kept trying to get them riveted and I would snap them. And it wasn’t like I was just tightening without checking - I would tighten just a bit and then take it off and would measure and I didn’t have enough lip on the rivet to stop so I’d go to give it a little more and then it would snap again.I went and asked my local bike shop what I could do and they told me to buy this RK Chain Tool.Upon taking their advice and purchasing the RK Chain Tool I got a perfect rivet the first time and it really took the stress out of the situation. I tightened them both down and had gotten .4mm lip from the rivets each time on the first try.I would always stress about changing my chain because I dreaded using my old chain tool and worried I would damage my rivets with it and potentially cause a catastrophic problem if my chain came off. I can already tell that this tool has fixes that anxiety!

After doing extensive research, I decided to go with this press tool worked flawless every review and feedback I seen on other Cheaper tools stated That they were junk to spend a little extra money I picked up this press tool for my CFMoto 450SS and was a breeze to use. The durability in the feel of this tool, you can tell you’re going to have it for sometime. Highly recommended

This was my first time replacing a motorcycle chain. I bought a new chain and sprockets online as well as this kit. The installation was much easier than I expected. This product worked great and the instructions were straightforward. It's helpful to read the instructions thoroughly and watch a YouTube video before you dive into it.

Watch some YouTube videos and you'll be set on using this tool. Good quality and if you break it, there is some warranty coverage I learned after calling the RK for their input.With respect to reviting the master link, you do have to put more effort into it than you would think. For me, I struggled to get the master link to mushroom as shown in the photos in the directions. I was concerned not to over flair them based on the videos I watched.For me, on a 525 Vortex/EK chain, if took at least 64nm of force during the rivet process to get the links to flair. This was much more than I expected. Hopefully this will help someone else as it sure would have been nice to know this figure before I started.

Replaced the factory chain on my 2023 Triumph Tiger 660 and needed a chain breaker/rivet tool. I didn't want to go cheap and this one seemed like a decent value compared to some other ones that I looked at. It popped out the original pin from the OEM chain without me having to do any cutting or grinding. The instructions were pretty good, although I did get a bit confused over using the tool to install the master link plate versus the actual riveting. Overall, I'd recommend this tool - seems well made and I didn't have any issues with anything bending, breaking, etc. I also followed the instructions and greased everything up prior to use.
