Bought these to replace stock cord locks on the inside of my heavy Carhartt coat that always slipped. They work very well.

i thought i could get away with useing these on my semi-flat thick laces, but no way! they thread easy enough but slide over the laces way too easily, dont try these if your laces aren't completely round will not work on flat laces even the thick ones. i should have read all of the description.

These cord locks are a game-changer! I used them on my 6-year-old’s pants because he struggles with tying them, and now he doesn’t have to ask his teacher for help at school. They’re easy to attach, hold securely, and make adjusting the waistband super simple for him. It’s such a practical solution, and the quality is fantastic. Highly recommend for any parent looking for an easy fix for drawstring pants!

Love the quality. Very easy to put onto my boot laces, and easy to use as a substitute for tying.Great value for the price.

My son has a disability that makes it hard for him to tie his sweat pants, he’s tall but skinny so everything is too baggy. Using these on the pants really helped us. Now he has them on his shoes and his pants and he’s good to go to school without worry.

Pros:They work well, yes they are a strong hold, it is secure. It has a sharp bite to it which grabs the laces and makes it feel very secure. You would need to do some aggressive tugging in order to loosen it.Cons:Extra thick round dense laces will not likely work with this, the holes wouldn't be large enough. These are for your typical normal thickness laces. Conclusion:Highly recommended

The listing says "Warning: These locks are not for thin flat strings." This seems to mean any regular flat-style shoelace. The locks do not catch on what I would consider fairly standard laces that came with a pair of men's hiking boots. The issue seems to be the gap on each side of the lock. A (regular) flat lace eventually slides through the gap. (Other lace lockers are designed without the gap and don't have that issue.)These locks do catch on a pair of round laces (though as someone else mentions, they are tough to thread initially, so if you have any hand issues, watch out).Nice low price, but if you need something that just works, and with less effort, these might not be the best choice.

I found that the lace can work it’s way around the plastic locking plate and it stops working and comes loose….maybe my laces were too thin….I threw mine away as they were useless

I've installed 4 of these locks. First, they don't lock well on many lines as they will slide loose. The clamping mechanism is flat and smooth with no gripping texture. The spring is strong, but a cord, especially a flat one, clamped by smooth and flat surfaces, is bound to slide. Second, as the locking plate is flat and not rounded to center the gripped cord when sliding and locking, if using a flat string or smaller cord, the line can slip around to the backside of the locking plate and get jammed in the spring. Third, I've had 3 of these locks jam that way, and they've broken each time I attempted to free the jammed line. My strong advise is to keep looking and ignore this one,

I ordered these as I wanted cord locks with stronger springs than normal to overcome the problem of waterproof over-trouser draw-cords constantly coming lose. These items really do have a strong spring that should fix the problem, but I will fir two to the draw-cord to make sure.

These are very well made and stand up to heavy duty. A well made purchase!
