great quality with it being stainless steel, and the plastic lid is thick and durable. stays put and doesn't leak at all, works great and is a great concept with the little step

UPDATE: I bought Arm & Hammer Clump and Seal Slide litter, and it works beautifully with this stainless steel pan. My new kitten took to it immediately, and I will soon be switching my 3 yo cat to this litter, as well. The type of litter you use very much affects whether or not the clumps adhere to the pan or not. I still prefer a metal scoop. I am updating my rating to four stars.I purchased two of these litter boxes (open top style), as I had a new kitten coming into the household and needed a second box. Had been researching stainless steel pans for awhile, excited that it would be easy to clean, in addition to not retaining smells. Sadly, the urine sticks like concrete to the pan and the plastic scoop included is too flimsy to effectively remove the clumps. I had to purchase a metal scoop to pry the urine clumps off of the pan. Maybe it's the kind of litter I'm using (Dr. Elsey's), which I love because of the low dust aspect, and really don't want to change because my cats also like the litter. Needless to say, I am disappointed in how difficult it is to clean these boxes. Would love to know what kind of litter the ppl who reviewed that the box is easy to clean are using. The Pros:The 'step' made this easy for my small kitten to climb inThe high sides are great for male cats who tend to spray highIt's aesthetically pleasing to look atThe Cons:The urine sticks like concrete to the stainless steel pan, no matter how deep the litter isVery difficult to clean and you need a sturdy metal scoop to do so.

Tip: plastic absorbs smells stainless steel is the way to go! The price is very reasonable, easy to set up! Enough space for the little one and easy to wash in the tub once a week! It’s also non-slip I love that little detail.

Very cute, good size, and I like the litter catcher it comes with. One side is a bit difficult to get on but they both attach. If one side isn't working after you put on one already, take it off and try to put on the other side first.

I had the litter robot back in the states and it was convenient for sure but sooooo horrible when it came time to clean. Recently moved to Puerto Rico and needed to get back to basics- something easy to clean in a smaller space that isn’t electric. My furbaby is a high pee’er so we’ve always had issue with leaks (even if it’s covered- because it tends to slip through the cracks). We tried one that was similar to this but less expensive & plastic, the smell was horrible. I scoop twice a day and deep clean once a week and the plastic would still hold onto the smell. Nothing got rid of it- bleach, enzyme cleaners, etc. Finally decided to spend a bit more and I’m so glad I did! If you’re saying to yourself “I don’t want to pay $75 + for a basic litter box!” like I was, just do it!!! The way the top connects stops all leaks!! The stainless steel doesn’t hold onto smells and is so easy to clean. Even with daily scooping it’s amazing- nothing sticks to the side badly. Also, it’s awesome that it comes with the litter step/ litter catcher. I still use a litter mat but the little step helps my baby get into the litter box easier. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend!!

Surprised how big the litter box truly was when it got delivered. It came packaged really well. Literally came with one paper displaying 3 illustrations on how to put together. I thought the top lid would click in place, however, it does not. It’s still great because it does what it’s meant for which is to keep the litter in. I did some research on litter boxes because this was our first time my family and I got a kitten for a pet. Read that stainless still is better than plastic because it’s easier to clean and urine will not stain it or leave a nasty odor over time. I thought the scooper would also sit or latch on to the sides, however, it does not. Which is still because it’s nice and it does what it’s meant for.

You don't know what your cat will like, not like, etc. I have been hesitant about the enclosed with a top litter box. So I opted for this one, with high enough sides so Jiji won't get litter everywhere. He cleans and buries, and litter goes everywhere. Not with this box. The litter stays inside; the clumps don't stick, so they come out easily. There is enough room to spread out, there is no odor because the clumping litter stays intact when your scoop the poop and pee. The best litter box ever!

I love it, I have two female cats and it’s BIG. It’s also easier to clean than plastic traditional cat litter boxes.

This was the best purchase to date!!! It is so easy to clean. I use the light weight, clumping litter and it is so easy to scoop. Non stick, large, no mess outside the box. Comes with a little “clean step” and a plastic scooper.
