As a fellow AWS CWI I find these very helpful on various projects Nuclear (Vogtle 3&4), Petrochemical (Ellie & Ella Platforms), Aerospace (Boeing Missile Silos), and heavy cyclic (SanFrancisco Oakland Bay Bridge). They work like a charm, they are heavy and priced reasonable. Fairly accurate. These are just some of the projects these tools have been approved for. Check out the attached photo.

Perfect just what I wanted and it looks like it won't break any time soon because it's metal. Unlike my plastic one I had that broke after I started using it on a regular basis. This. Weld measuring stick is what I've been looking for
