Product Description

Ritz Gear Conic Dish Flash Diffuser and Modifier

Quality Light On Location

The Ritz Gear Conic Dish has a special design with a cone-like shape, a silver coated rear inner side and a silvery coated cone on the inside of the front diffuser. The latter works just like a Sock Diffuser for Beauty Dish. The special design of the light shaper of the main part of the flash light from the inner cone is redirected toward the rear inside. The inner side reflects the light to the front, so that it exits through the front diffusor. Bouncing the flash on the two specially aligned inner surfaces is achieved a relatively directional light. The light in the center is the strongest, but without a hot spot is formed, while the brightness decreases outwardly in a flowing course. This is ideal for making a subject from the background.

It takes a few seconds to set-up and attach the Ritz Gear Conic Dish on the flash. It is attached directly to the flash with a built in adjustable Velcro. Without any additional stuff needed. No extra straps, brackets, screws etc.

Just the Ritz Gear Conic Dish and your speed light. Its ultra-lightweight construction and soft mount eliminate any risk of damaging or scratching the flash unit. A flash built-in wide panel helps to distribute the light evenly. You can still gel your flash.

The Ritz Gear Conic Dish also met yet another benefit: The bounce flash and the front diffuser ensure that the light is spread out, so that it literally sets to match the subject. This helps to a particularly soft illumination with significant depreciation Shadow and smooth transitions between light and shadow. And finally helps the Ritz Gear Conic Dish also circular, natural-looking reflections in the eyes of a photographed person and on flat surfaces.

For $20 this thing is a no-brainer. I've been using a different version of this for years, and I just purchased some new ones. They take up absolutely no space at all. It folds up the same way that the large circular diffusers fold up. But once this is folded up it's only about 5 or 6 in in diameter and almost completely flat. So it takes up absolutely no space in your backpack. You might even be able to throw this in one of those camera sling fanny pack type of things. The downside is that this thing looks and feels cheap when you're using it. But, the fall off is really impressive if you know how to shape light. I always have one or two of these stashed in a bag somewhere for either an emergency backup or if I'm just out on the street and need some fill light. I wrap mine around my AD100's. Before I had my AD100's I used them with speed lights on a very regular basis to build a portfolio for my mobile business. Set up isn't perfect, but it's definitely quicker than traditional softboxes. And it only takes 20 to 30 seconds once you understand how to use it.Honestly, I can't recommend these things enough for super minimalist / mobile photography setups.

I like it. Fits just barely on my ad100 and godox v1 but it does fit and it works pretty well in a pinch.
