About this item

  • Increases power, performance, mileage and saves fuel by not only cleaning the entire emissions & exhaust system, but the fuel system too.
  • Regular use every 5,000 miles tunes-up the fuel, emissions and exhaust system keeping clean and prevents excessive exhaust regeneration and the CEL light from returning. Clears P242F & Other OBD Codes.
  • Will not void manufacturer’s new vehicle warranty. Specifically designed and safe to use on vehicles with DOC catalytic converters, DPF particulate filters, SCR selective catalytic reduction devices, or DEF systems.
  • Works with all ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel), regular diesel–off road for USA, biodiesel blends B2, B5, B20, DI (Direct Injected), common rail – another name for DI, IDI (Indirect Injected), TDI (Turbo Direct Injected), and turbocharged engines.
  • Lowers ignition temperature inside DPF to burn soot and particulate matter, ideal for infrequent highway regeneration intervals.

Rislone DPF CLEAN Diesel DPF, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner has high-performing detergents and heavy duty cleaning solvents that effectively scrub and remove contaminants, soot, carbon build-up, and oily residue from the fuel injectors, combustion chambers, turbo, EGR, diesel oxidation catalyst, diesel particulate filter and the exhaust system. These along with other active chemical agents, react with the gases created in the combustion process to remove the remaining inorganic deposits. This process restores their function and with regular use maintains efficiency. As fuel is burned, contaminating byproducts are created that are circulated throughout various vehicle systems. These systems are designed to be able to handle this process during most normal engine operation. However, the use of poor quality fuel, short driving distance, cold weather, improper maintenance, and component failure can greatly increase the amount of contamination and deposits created inside these systems. Such factors can cause increased exhaust emissions, reduced fuel economy, lost power & performance, drivability issues, engine overheating, hard starts, check engine light illumination and premature engine wear. NOTE: This bottle is designed to work in ALL diesel tanks including those with misfuelling devices. INSTRUCTIONS: Light Duty Diesel (up to 40 gallon fuel tank), add entire bottle into approximately 1/4 full tank truck or large SUV, (1/2 full tank for car or small to mid-size SUV) of diesel fuel. Drive vehicle (ideally in a lower gear than you normally would) for 20 to 30 miles. Continue to drive vehicle normally and fill tank with diesel fuel. For vehicles with extremely dirty filters, a force regeneration may now be initiated. If light is still on, second application may be required, or mechanical attention is needed. Medium and Heavy Duty Diesel (40 to 80 gallon tank) use 1.5 bottles. 81 gallons and larger use 2 bottles.

I was skeptical. I used it as directed. In 50 miles my DPF was clean and the re-gens are cut in half.

I saw a YouTube video on this product will looking into my check engine code for a dirty exhaust. Did not help in my opinion. I ordered a second bottle just to see if it will help with a second attempt.

You need this to keep the DPF working well. Mine purrs after an application.Follow the directions... For me it works best when the fuel is down to roughly 20% remaining in my standard 2019 Ford F250. But follow the instructions for your vehicle.

I discovered that the engine "code 420" was due to the front O2 sensor getting sooted up. It happens if I don't get the block temp above 175F before pulling a 7000 pound boat and trailer trailer up a steep hill and forgetting to manually down shift (lugging engine below 1000 rpm>no boost!

Within an hour of pouring it into my tank. I took a long drive, keeping it in lower gears as recommended. Turned it off for 10 minutes, on start up the check engine light was out. Never got the DPF light, but had DPF and EGR codes. I was planning to replace my EGR and figured I’d try this. What a great deal it turned out to be! Just took it through Oregon DEQ today, passed without a worry. 2013 Volkswagen Jetta TDI

3-STARSThis is a review on Rislone DPF Clean, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner, 16.9 oz. I am giving this product a 3-star review. This product did not decreased regen frequency from previous additive. This product produced same mileage numbers as previous additive. I noticed a slight increase in mpg of +1. I did not get any engine error codes while using this product.I used 1 bottle of Rislone DPF Clean, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner, 16.9 oz. I added the bottle to 8 gallons of fuel.No check engine lights came on. Vehicle showed no adverse affects from additive.Regen mileage interval with NO additives was 384 miles after receiving vehicle from repair shop. Mileage between regens decreased from 384 miles (baseline) to 323 miles. A product used 3 tanks before, dropped mileage interval below baseline mileage. This product gave my vehicle a decrease of 61 mileage between regen intervals compared to baseline numbers. I had previously used Liqui-Moly Diesel Purge 3 tanks prior to this product. Rislone DPF Clean, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner gained 0 miles over previously used Rislone Hy-Per Diesel, relating to regen mileage intervals. I'll base the review on increase of +1mpg. This product showed no improvement in regen interval length compared to other Rislone Hy-Per Diesel product. Regen period slightly shorter, but removed less soot. I did not notice any improvement in power.Driving Notes:30 miles driven during regeneration cycleSoot down to 12 grams.EGTs = 556F temperature, normal highway drivingEGTs = 692F temperature during regeneration cycleInjection quantity at idle at baseline=9mmInjection quantity at idle after Rislone DPF Clean, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner=8mm #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8Injector balance at baseline: -0.5, 0.1, -0.2, 0.9, -0.6, -0.1, 0.0, 0.4Injector balance after additive: -0.6, -0.2,-0.3, 0.5, -0.9, -0.3, 0.4, 1.2Less fuel being used at idle.Exactly same from previous additive.Regen down to 12 grams. No negative affects. My review is based on product efficiency, any damages to vehicle, check engine lights turning on or off, ability to clear engine codes (if my vehicle has any check engine lights), increase or decrease in mileage, and increase or decrease in regeneration mileage intervals. I will not use price as a factor. You will have determine if product is worth the cost. These products may or may not save you costly repairs or replacement. I cannot determine if these products can or will damage your vehicle. My vehicle has no check engine light or error codes. My vehicle is in good working order with no current issues during this review. My vehicle has over 200,000 miles. This is a stock vehicle, with a stock (OEM) factory tune installed. Just prior to this test, my truck was not performing a regen cycle. Repairs were done which included a new 9th injector, new DPF pressure monitor. The pressure monitor measures pressure before and after the DPF filter. The difference in pressure allow computer to estimate how much soot has accumulated in the DPF filter. A force regen was also performed on my vehicle and a passive regen performed before I received my vehicle from repair shop. Vehicle is performing as it should.Test drive is relatively the same and consistent. 49.5 miles one way, with a drive time of about 56 minutes. There is a gradual 1129 foot elevation gain one way and 1129 elevation loss the opposite way. There is some surface street driving, some freeway driving, and most of drive is highway.Hope this review helps. I will be writing more reviews on other diesel additives. I have some data from other additives for comparison listed below. Most products seemed to help and a couple seemed to worsened DPF performance during testing. You should not compare the towing data for comparison. I have just added it to show that towing will change data. Towing will increase exhaust gas temperatures and should make the DPF more effective. My regen mileage intervals increased, decreasing regen frequency, while towing. There are many factors that affect the DPF performance. The factors that I noticed (on my vehicle) are outside temperature, humidity, and EGTs. Lower temperatures decreased DPF performance. Higher humidity decreased DPF performance. Higher outside temperatures and lower humidity seem to increase DPF performance. Higher EGTs such as towing increased DPF performance.Regeneration Interval Mileage Comparison of Different Additives:baseline (no additive), 384 miles between regeneration intervalsArchoil AR6200 Fuel Treatment, 391 miles between regeneration intervals,+7 mile increase from baseline, +7 mile increase from previous additive(none, baseline)Wynn’s DPF Regenerator, 462miles between regeneration intervals, +78 mile increase from baseline, +71 mile increase from previous additiveSeafoam (high dose), 504 miles between regeneration intervals, +120 mile increase from baseline, +42 mile increase from previous additiveNitrox Clean Cat Diesel, 324 miles between regeneration intervals, -60 mile decrease from baseline, -180 mile decrease from previous additiveArchoil AR6500 pulling trailer in hot weather (not same comparison) , 1075 miles between regeneration intervals, +691 mile increase from baseline, +751 mile increase from previous additiveNitrox Clean Cat Diesel 2nd try, 402 miles between regeneration intervals, +18 mile increase from baseline, +78 mile increase from previous additive(Nitrox Clean Cat Diesel)Liqui Moly Diesel Purge, 265 miles between regeneration intervals, -119 mile decrease from baseline, -137 mile decrease from previous additiveWynn’s Turbo Cleaner, 298 miles between regeneration intervals, -86 mile decrease from baseline, +33 mile increase from previous additiveRislone Hy-Per Diesel, 323 miles between regeneration intervals, -61 mile decrease from baseline, +25 mile increase from previous additiveRislone DPF Clean, 323 miles between regeneration intervals, -61 mile decrease from baseline, 0 mile difference from previous additiveArchoil AR6500 pulling trailer in hot weather one way, cooler temps coming back(2nd trip, different route) (not same comparison), 680 miles between regeneration intervals, +296 mile increase from baseline, +357 mile increase from previous additiveStar Review Legend1 star: Made check engine light turn on or trigger error code(s)2 star: Causes no check engine warnings and no engine error codes.
