Does not fit the Rio Beach Folding Backpack Lounge Chair....... The frame diameter is a bit too small to secure the Rio Beach MyCanopy. The canopy itself is a quality item.....disappointed that it didn't fit the Rio lounge chair.

This is the most convenient way to keep the sun off your face & chest without having to use a beach umbrella.Very well worth the money for convenience. Very light weight but holds great on the beach chair.

If you love being outside, maybe getting some sun, but have a need for shade, this is really the best little addition to your beach chair EVER! I have multiple reasons to use this, such as taking medication that carries a notice of sun exposure causing a reaction, having an autoimmune disorder that causes my face to be red all the time anyway but gets exacerbated by sunlight (seriously, I look like a lobster), and wanting to be able to relax without having to wear a hat or visor 100% of the time to keep the sun out of my eyes and face. Helps cool you down a little without having the sun beating down on your head, too. I loved this so much I bought a second one for our other chair and talk about it to everyone I meet while using it. Easy to snap on to most beach chairs, and has such a tight fit that it doesn't slip off or move around, at all. Could be a little hard to remove from the chair for someone without a bit of strength or with poor grip (have a helper to do that if necessary, but it is not a deal breaker for me).My kids are not little any more but I could see it being helpful for kids who are taking a break from the water and need a break from the sun as well or for napping. Highly recommend and wish I'd had this years ago!

The chair canopy has plastic clips that attach to the back of a chair. There's a little room for swiveling, and the unit does fold down into an included pouch for travel.It seems to be sturdy, though I think the attachment clips will go before anything else. With most beach chair items, it will only be a matter of time, but if we can get a season or so, it's worth it.If you want shade for your face, without putting up an umbrella, this is for you. It's easy to install and adjust, and the price is very reasonable.

I love this! I got this for myself to visit my son who lives at the beach. I didn't want to carry a ton of stuff in my car or through the sand alone. After my son saw how easy it was and the shade coverage, he wants me to leave my chair and sun shade set up for him!! This set up on my Tommy Bahama chair (not sure about other brands) and works wonderful in high winds and/or hot sun. If you are worried about the price and quality, (which I was) the first day at the beach, I said "money well spent". I may get one for my dad who refuses to sit under a crowded umbrella if it fits on his chair.

UPDATE: (2023) Still using my original shade on my Tommy Bahama chair.Still works,slightly faded from the hot sun here,but withstands high winds and provides solid shade.STILL very happy with it.Provides better shade than an umbrella as far as getting any sunburn,probably because it’s closer to your head and face than an umbrella.So if you have sensitive skin on your face or chest,use this under your umbrella for extra protection.Better than a hat,no itchy scalp,no sweaty head, great air flow.I’m a long time beach sitter,and this is my most valued possession.2020:Fit on my Tommy bahama chair perfect,however,my husband who is tall,6’3....it wouldn’t quite go up high enough because of the lay down bar on the chair.This is excellent in wind,doesn’t budge.Just snaps on the fabric covered aluminum chair tubing as shown in photos.I bought a back up for guests I love it so much.We go to watch the high surf and whales and it’s nice to not have to lug down the umbrellas etc. I use both this and an umbrella on warm Hawaiian summer days.GREAT product,I was NOT paid or compensated for a review,just a person who loves this.

This is perfect!! All the people stopped by to tell us how nice the umbralla was amazing. I tried the gray one before but it did not fit well on any of our chair. But this one does!
