I seldomly write a purely negative review, but this one was frustrating.I originally ordered a different brand of fan on Amazon. I installed that fan, however that fan was too tall due to a bent fan mounting plate. Because of the reviews I decided to try rinbers PS4 fan.Upon arrival I saw that the fan plate was stamped delta. Delta was the original manufacturer for PS4 fans. I can't confirm it without damaging the fan, however it would appear that rinbers parts out used PS4 fans that they seem worthy in a best case scenario. In a worst case scenario they pull the fans and do a poor quality rebuild.Because of my previous experience I began by inspecting the fan. The fan plate was slightly bent, but it was minor so I bent it back parallel to the fan. When I spun the fan while holding the plate I noticed what I can only describe as the fan warbling. The fan should spin freely and you should not feel ANY vibrations at low rpms, especially when you spin it by hand. If you feel something like this at low rpms then it's not going to last at 1800 rpms and it's going to make a lot more noise. i did not tear apart the fan further because I still wanted to be able to return it but presumably either the shaft or the bearings were out of round which caused the warble.Because of the glowing reviews I gave the fan a second chance and ordered a replacement. This one was a hair better but the same issues existed.I really wanted to like this product due to the reviews but as a mechanic and veteran PC builder I know a bad fan when I see one. It appears most PS4 fans currently being sold on Amazon and ebay are of about the same quality. I'm fairly certain that there are no current manufacturers for PS4 fans so you're either dealing with a used product that was pulled off a working unit OR a company that rebuilds them without strict quality control because quality control costs more money.Would this fan work? Maybe for a while. But the PS4 has a noise level of about 60-65DB, most of which being the fan noise, and that's straight out of the factory. This one will be significantly louder due to the warble, will put unnecessary stress on the circuit board, and probably won't last more than 6 months. Every time you have to replace the fan you have to disassemble the entire unit (it's not hard for someone experienced, but it's not easy to install for most people) and replace the cpu thermal paste along with the thermal pads (about 15 dollars each time). The value for money of a product that just won't last is worth way less than this.

When the item was recieved, it was packaged well, however the brown wire was disconnected from the white plug that is to connect to the motherboard. Even if the wire had been in good condition it WAS TOO SHORT! and certainly was not as pictured.The model number matched for the ps4 CUH-1001A, and even the imprinted model code on the purchased fan and the existing fan match...but the Rinbers fan cords were over 1cm shorter.When I contacted Amazon, they asked me to contact the seller....well the phone number listed for the seller is for a restaurant and the email was for a gentleman who says he's never sold on Amazon. Interesting.I'm sending the product back to Amazon and will be purchasing another fan from another seller, as this one is not trusted by me any longer.Good luck if you purchase this fan, but I'd suggest shipping this seller altogether.

This is the second PS4 fan I ordered from Amazon. Both my and my son’s fans went out on our PS4s my son’s went out a year ago and that fan was a perfect replacement, so I was not hesitant to order another. This fan was also perfect - quiet and works like a charm.

I had bought a used PS4, and the fan was already very noisy but working. Unfortunately the it died a few months after when I installed CoD: Warzone and overheated the PS4 too many times.I followed the iFixit guide and it was very easy to do. I had my own Tork screwdriver set, but the ones they provided works perfectly as wellif not better and I was pleasantly surprised that they provided the thermal paste, even though I already had my own I used the one they provided. AmThe shipping was very quick, next day I received it early afternoon. There was another same fan I could've bought for 5$ less, but the shipping was at least 2 weeks, so I recommend this one is you're in a rush.

Order arrived when expected. All the parts were there needed to install with the supplied tamper proof torx screw drivers. Fit like a glove. After some fresh Thermal Paste, I had put the PS4 back together and no more “jet engine” noises from the console. Nice and quiet just like new! Also gave me access to give the inside a good cleaning. Worth it and would purchase again, if needed. -Cheers Happy Gaming!

Cable was too short to reach board connection and the connector was not the right size. Luckily, I had the old one, so I did a splice with the original connector and everything is now working.

Was much more difficult then I thought to take out the old one (what was I thinking lol) but this product is awesome hasn’t failed me yet it’s been 2 months or more running almost no stop so... it saved me from having to buying a whole new PlayStation

Long process to swap. But so far working well. Fan isn't as smooth as the original.ps4 fan.

Direct replacement part, fit well, and so far it seems to have solved my issues. Even thermal paste was included for the reassembly. Had to move the little rubber pads over from the original fan assembly to this new one, but that’s hardly an issue. The fan swap took minimal time following the ifixit guide.

So my PS4 was having heating issues and eventually refused to stay on. Being a launch model, it was far beyond warranty, so I took a dive into fixing it myself by replacing thermal compound and cleaning it out. The heat had obviously gotten to the wires on the original fan and when I tried to remove the connector, the entire thing just fell apart. I thought it took the connector with it but I figured, it's 20 bucks to try and fix this thing, so why not. Long story short, they supplied everything I needed (screwdrivers, paste, and the fan) to bring my OG back to it's former glory. It's working so much quieter and installing the fan took mere minutes. Be careful with the blu-ray data cable, it can be damaged easily by the sharp metal shrouds. This was an oversight on my part but I figured I'd share the knowledge so that it doesn't happen to anyone else reading these reviews.

Great that this came with the tools necessary to complete the job, slightly disappointed that more paste couldn’t have been included too.The fan worked great and was pretty easy to install while watching a video on YouTube. I definitely recommend setting the screws aside with pieces as they come off so that you can put it back together correctly.Thefan itself worked perfectly and has been so much quieter since replacement. Would definitely by again.

It worked great! It took me about 2hours to take apart my ps4, clean each component, install the new fan and reapply new thermal paste to cpu. You can’t even hear fun when it’s on. I ran the ps4 4 hours to rebuild the hard drive and perform system and game updates. No over heating.
