Solid construction, perfect adaptability, lightweight, not too hot, crisp sound and a great mic. I’m using it on an Xbox Series S and it works great. Also works on my switch! The hidden gem is the free 2 year subscription to Dolby atmos 3D sound!! Highly recommend!

I like RIG headsets and the sound quality and surround positioning is great, but there is a fault with these (ive ordered two, both with the issue right out of the box) that makes them unusable. There is a hardwired (non replaceable) volume slider that has loose connections and any movement on it causes either one or both audio channels to drop out. It takes a lot of fiddling with it to get both channels to work but eliminates the ability to control the volume and if you bump it, you loose your audio again.

Almost immediately the earcups started to detach, and I don't mean in the way they are intended to, but from the inside plastic, so the padding was falling off. A day later, the entire left side of the band snapped because it's a very thin plastic...they sounded pretty good while they lasted, but seeing as how that was only about a week or so, yeah, avoid these. I couldn't even return them because RIG ignored my messages, and Amazon decided to only allow me like 3 days..I'm disabled, getting to a location to drop them off is a challenge for me, so now I'm just out the money and don't have functional headphones. Shame, because the quality of the sound seemed to be pretty good for the price, but the build quality was just pure trash level.

After quite a bit of research, I decided that this headset would do great for a mid priced gaming headset. Most reviews that I saw gave high marks for durability, sound quality, and comfort. I bought my headset in August of 2023. I have had quite a bit of time with them, so this information is not presented after one night, one week or even a month of time.Sound quality I give 3/5 stars. Sounds during gaming are decent, but didn't out-do the $20 headset these replaced. Listening to music though them definitely leaves something to desire.Microphone quality I give 3/5 stars. It's not broadcast quality, but it is not horrible either. It sounds better than the mic on my $20 cheapo headset. Friends could hear me better, and that's all that mattered to me at the time.Comfort I give 4/5 stars. These are nice on the head. A little heavy, but rest evenly on the head and the ear cushions are very comfortable.Durability though, is where these fall WAY short. After owning my headset for right at the four month mark, they cracked on the right side of the frame in the space where the head-strap attaches to the frame. I tried to super glue them, but it didn't work. I contacted the RIG help desk via email and explained my issue, and after some exchange of information, I had a brand new headset sent to me. I was so impressed with their professionalism and speed of a replacement. It made me feel as though I WAS a valued customer. All was great. I received the new headset, enjoyed gaming with friends and by myself, and even thought music sounded better in the replacements. After almost exactly four months with the replacement headset, *SNAP*, same kind of crack, same place as before, but on the left side this time.I cannot recommend these to anyone until the design flaw is corrected.

This headset has crystal clear audio. Super long cord. Comes with a nice spliter if you want to run a separate microphone for streaming. The 3D audio is really nice as well. The comfort on your head and around your ears is wonderful even if you wear glasses.

Almost a perfect headset. The mic died in less than a year. The sound quality up to that point was great. I'm guessing the flip up mic mute wore out the wires, not sure if that's common among this type of mute options. I may try this brand in the future because they're so close to having a good product, but I would value this brand in general at half the price with these known flaws. I do wish the company luck because there's so much potential.

Was supposed to be the best indestructible headset and the wires were frayed within a 2 weeks and within a month it was unusable.

These headphones were okay for about a year, but couldn't handle constant use very well. The area underneath the join where it switches from metal to plastic is prone to cracking, and the ear portions eventually snapped off.

I had the RIG 500 PRO gen 1 for almost a decade and it was my favorite headset. I bought ear muff replacements a year or so ago and that’s the only thing they needed. I could wear that headset for hours and it was super comfortable, so you can believe my disappointment when the microphone started cutting out. It was something in the ear piece that was having a connection issue, so I couldn’t just replace that part. I figured after 10 years, it was probably time to get a new headset. I got this one thinking a Gen 2 version would have improvements! The headset itself is awesome, lightweight, and looks great. However, it does not have multiple ear attachments like the original Pro did (the other one came with open and closed ear cups) and the ear cups themselves are narrower and sit closer to my head. While this is a great headset, I would not say that it is very comfortable. My ears start hurting after about an hour and a half and I have to take a break from wearing it. I do not, however, get a headache on the top of my head like I do with my wireless XBox headset, so that’s a good thing. It’s just the narrower ear cups that hurt after a while from pressing on my ears.
