I just snorkeled for about 14 days, with multiple times in and out each day. The snorkel was comfortable in my mouth, and the purge valve reduced the need to blow air out forcibly when coming up. The shape probably reduced drag, but it's hard to be sure. What's up with the clips provided with snorkels? Most of them just fall off at the worst time. This one is better because it doesn't fall off, but it has no grip on the mask strap, so the snorkel bends every which way. I just replaced it with one of the two-circles-on-a-strap keepers that you can get for a couple of dollars in any dive shop.I have spent huge chunks of times snorkeling, and I'm constantly diving down below the surface. On the other hand, I'm not a hardcore freediver. No 90 (or 290) foot descents for me. Probably 20 feet is about as far as I go these days. Hint for advanced beginners: wear some lead. It's easier to get down and stay down, and you'll use less air. Of course you shouldn't overdo it, or you'll be struggling to keep your head up at the surface. Not a very good photo, but here I am with a Manta ray and this snorkel. I got closer than intended, and sort of flattened myself out in the water so it could glide by without fear of contact. I wasn't thinking about the snorkel, and that's good.

I bought 2 of these. My kids lost the first one some how. I had to get another. Easy to breathe. Water doesn’t build up on the bottom. Allows for nice comfortable deep breaths. Blow out is effortless.

I freedive a lot and this snorkel is the best out there by far. Clears easily, wish it were a bit cheaper so I could get some back ups.

Hands down been my favourite snorkel for 15+ years. Now on my third one. It's easy to clear. I've never had any issues so would recommend.

I love the size of this snorkel—great for women and smaller mouths. Best snorkel I've ever owned. Stays "gurgle-free" and clears instantly in the rare instance it fills with water. Easy to dive with, as it stays in position and you can put it in and out of your mouth seamlessly should you want to drop it in depth. The clip for the mask is efficient and sturdy. Fit nicely in my luggage. Super excited about this snorkel.

yes, it is more expensive than your standard snorkel - but the design, functionality and materials make up for the extra price. The main tube is made of a nice flexible rigid rubber or vinyl material , and the mouth piece is made of nice soft silicone. This snorkel sits in your mouth nicely, without pinching the corners of your mouth or gums. I have stepped on this snorkel, and it doesn't crack - no cheap plastic.I would call this snorkel a semi-dry snorkel, the top is shaped like a shark fin. Very easy to breath even under heavy activity, and the purge works fantastic. This snorkel will last a very long time.

When buying a snorkel, I look for something that sits comfortably in the mouth, is low profile, has a purge valve, and has a good mask clip. This snorkel fits all of these criteria except that the purge valve is gigantic. It's the size of a child's fist- I have never seen anything this big on a snorkel before. It seems that it would create serious drag when swimming or free diving, and it also obstructs good portion of you field of view. I retuned it without actually using it the water because of this, but I will say that the mouth piece was very comfortable.I ended up going with the Mares Ergo Flex Snorkel, which was much lower profile, had a purge valve, stayed completely out of my field of view, and fit very comfortably in the mouth.

Far superior than your typical snorkel. After using this on several dives I have experienced 0 issues with this product. This snorkel features an ergonomic mouthpiece/purge that is unlike any other snorkel available and you WILL notice the difference. The clasp to attach your mask easily clips on/off making the separation of my mask and snorkel easier than ever before. One feature that I feel Riffe downplays is the flexibility of the tube. Whatever kind of Vinyl it's made of holds up incredibly when moving about in the sea, yet when you need it to bend the snorkel is so flexible.Bottom Line: Yes this snorkel is more expensive than most of it's competitors, but it translates into the most adept snorkel for any kind of diving without sacrificing comfort. You get what you pay for in life, and this snorkel is undoubtedly the best.

Spent 7 days with this snorkel in the BVI. Lots of surface snorkeling and some freediving down to around ~30'.Things I love about it: 1.) The snap on/off mask clip... made it so easy to transport the snorkel and adjust it along the mask strap. 2.) The sliding function on the mask clip... made it very easy to tweak the height of the snorkel so it wasn't torquing your mouth. 3.) The aqua-dynamic shape of the snorkel kept it from fluttering around during fast ascents... simple but brilliantOther than that, it did everything that a good snorkel should do.My one beef is that the whole thing is black. I really would have liked the tip (which is a separate piece) to be a bright color. I know that wouldn't be as "bad-ass" but I don't trust all boaters to be cautious and I certainly don't trust anyone on a personal water craft to be anything but reckless. Safety first!
