Got this mic for doing my readings and the pop filter helps more than i can say, especially with all my sound settings.I have not tried it without my software settings doing compensations and don't plan on doing so either. The clarity and smoothness I have achieved with the combination is exactly what I was going for.Easy to use, the pieces all go together extremely tight so there isn't any wiggle and I apparently am not doing the "shock proof" part of it correctly but since being jittery or bumping anything, especially the mic, is not an issue for me, I don't notice not doing this correctly. IF it becomes a noise interference, I'll put time into figuring out what I didn't do correctly; there are adjustments that I can't seem to make loose to function as shock absorbers, because everything fits together solid as a rock.I don't notice any more depth to my voice than my other mics, but as I said, that pop filter is what I apparently needed all along!I'd give it more stars if I could figure out the rest of this mic!

This is a working microphone, I'll give it that. I think its main purpose, though, is to LOOK like a nice mic. And if you're on a budget and that's what you're going for, it'll do that. When I opened the box, loose pieces fell out, including a hex nut. I finally figured out that the hex nut is what keeps the pop filter from moving around. At least in theory. It doesn't actually hold it very well so the whole thing has a tendency to flop around. The "shock proof mount" has me scratching my head. It's clear that the intent is to suspend the mic on rubber bands so that when you bump the table it doesn't make a thumping noise in the mic - I listened to a YouTuber do that over and over the other day and it drove me nuts. The problem is that the mic is such a tight fit that the rubber bands don't do anything - the mic has to be jammed against the mount to fit so the rubber bands don't do anything. Again, they seem to be just for show. This is really more prop than mic, but it does capture audio and sounds fine.
