Its...ok, the magnets do basically nothing. Otherwise it's fine, it's a bag for chalk. The big pockets are nice.

Right out of the packaging this bag looked and felt high-end. The bag is constructed of a thick cordura nylon material common to durable outdoor gear. The interior lining is made from a plush fabric which effectively facilitates the transfer of chalk to the hands. The mouth of the bag has two separate strips of nylon, one on either half, which are solidly stitched to the rest of the bag, as well as the waist strap connections. This effectively holds the bag closed while cinched around the waist, while still allowing access to the interior. These strap ends/connections have quick detached plastic buckles that click into the waist belt. These buckles can also be connected to each other to close off the bag when not around your waist. This is most effective when the top lip of the bag is rolled down before the QD buckles are attached to each other, just like you would with a dry bag.Two rope handles are stitched to the top of the bag by the stitching along the seam that connect aforementioned top section to the main part of the bag. The rope itself is strong, but I would not trust the attachment points to hold more weight than the chalk and gear in or on the bag.Speaking of the stitch work, it is top notch, with straight seams and strong thread. There were not any missed stitches, crooked seams, or loose threads that I could find. The front of the bag also has two nylon loops, just below the handles and two elastic loops near the bottom to use for a wide variety of purposes. In addition, zippered pockets on the front and back of the bag are quite spacious and useful for storing all kinds of gear and accessories. Finally, the bag includes a very light duty carabiner which I would not trust for anything but the lightest of gear, like maybe a headlamp or something of that nature. All things considered, I think this is an outstanding high-quality bag.

My daughter recently picked up rock climbing and was needing a chalk bag. This one seemed to be a good price so we ordered it up. Pretty impressed with the quality of the bag, especially for the price. We're not super experienced rock climbers or anything, but this seemed to be as well built as the pricey bags sold at the climbing gym. The magnetic close is nice, especially for a young climber who don't always remember to close things up. The lining also seemed to do a pretty good job of reducing chalk dust. It is a large bag though, just be aware of the size.

Material is sturdy. No smells. Buckle opens and closes nicely. Appreciate the different compartments on the outside for your phone, keys, and brushes. The lining on the inside is really soft. I found the magnets in the opening to be a little small and kind of weak. There's no snap when it closes. I actually didn't realize that they were there when I first opened the bag cause of how small/ weak they were. I guess if the point is to keep the opening partially closed for easy access while you're climbing they serve their purpose. If the point of them is to prevent chalk from spilling out (without rolling the top and buckling it) while it's in your gym bag than probably not. Not a huge deal, just something to be mindful of when considering this chalk bag. Overall this is a great, medium sized chalk bag that should last a while.

I have only just started climbing, so I am in that happy stage of gathering everything I need to participate in the sport. Currently, I'm only bouldering, so I was very happy to secure this chalk bag through Vine. This bag is halfway between a chalk bag and a chalk bucket, holding a solid amount of chalk but potentially being uncomfortable to have strapped around your waist for a long climb. Although I have only used the bag for bouldering and not for rope climbing, I do wonder if the size is overly generous. The inside lining feels very nice and holds the chalk well around the sides, providing an even coating on my hands. Despite what I wrote above about the size, a big advantage is that the bag is big enough to fit both my hands in at once. The magnetic opening/closing works ok, but I wouldn’t trust it to keep all the chalk inside if I just threw it in my gym bag between climbs, especially with the extra fine chalk I use. There are two zip pockets that will come in handy for storage, again something you wouldn’t find on a smaller chalk bag. There's also a handy loop to store a brush.Overall, this bag feels sturdy, is well made, and is practical. It holds plenty of chalk, and I will happily continue to use it for bouldering.

The Rhino Valley Chalk Bag is a game-changer for rock climbing! It’s super functional with thoughtful features like the sturdy handle for easy carrying, an adjustable belt that fits comfortably, and zipper pockets to securely store small essentials like keys, cards, or a phone. The material is durable, and the bag keeps chalk contained without any mess. The wide opening makes it easy to reach in, even during climbs. It’s the perfect size, lightweight, and doesn’t get in the way. Highly recommend this chalk bag for climbers of all levels—it’s reliable and practical!

I needed a new chalk bag, and this is perfect. It will hold a complete refill, and the belt is adjustable, so it is easy to fit no matter what you wear. This is bigger than any bag I've ever used before, so it takes a little getting used to, but the increased size is perfect as it has a pocket for storing valuables. The rope handles are a nice addition as they are easy to carry and do not spill when not clipped around your body. It's a great bag I've thoroughly recommended.

When it comes to chalk bags, there generally seems to be no correlation between price & quality for some reason. I've had overpriced bags that start falling apart after only a few weeks of use, and I have owned budget chalk bags that have lasted well over a year of regular use -- there doesn't really seem to be a standard or brand leader when it comes to this line of products. But after experiencing so many different varieties over the years, I have thankfully been able to spot a few key factors that comprise a quality chalk bag, and this affordable item is definitely great given the asking price...The lining is the most standout feature for me, as it is a very plush (almost velvet) fabric that would seem like an odd choice for chalk storage at first, but in actuality the tiny fibers & folds do a fantastic job at not only keeping the powder chalk from creating too much dust during use, but also facilitates more coverage on your hands so that you aren't repeatedly reaching in over & over again to get a solid base coating. The stitchwork is also top-notch; there are no loose or unfinished threads to be found along the seams, and the rope handles are hefty enough to feel resistant to fraying. The zipper on the front pocket could stand to be a little more sturdy I suppose, but most chalk bags don't offer any additional storage anyhow, so having a pocket in the first place is already a bit of a bonus.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this bouldering accessory. The asking price is certainly reasonable, and it easily does its job as expected. The logo (albeit not related to performance in any way) is also very appealing and the bag's lime colour makes it easy to find in a cubby or backpack amongst other gear. This seemingly generic brand has definitely piqued my interest (peak ha!) and I would gladly consider its products again.Recommended.
