Fantastic portal pocket system. I bought it for my son to experience real retro gaming and the consoles I used to have. He takes it everywhere with him.

Bought 4 one for me and each of my kids. There were no Gameboy games at all. Why would you give it the Gameboy look but not have a single Gameboy game. Huge disappointment

With maybe 2 hours setup I've turned this beautiful little machine into a house for my heart.I've got my childhood in a box that I can put in my pocket. A box I can share with my son.The screens great! The buttons feel surprisingly good. I changed the software to muOS but that was a personal choice.Just get it. You already know if you love it.

As many have stated, the games that come pre loaded are not going to be what you expect. They’re mainly arcade style games Iike pac man, street fighter; the type of games you insert a quarter at arcades to play. Now that’s not necessarily a bad thing because the selection is huge. And if you grew up on old school arcade machines then it will just be an added plus. This thing really shines when you port the roms yourself like Pokémon, Super Mario, sonic Advance. But you will need a computer to do. It’s pretty really simple to do and a short YouTube video should easily show you how! And those 10 mins learning will be worth it all, trust me. The quality and build is very nice and worth the money! Definitely recommend if you’re tired of emulating on android or other random devices! :)

The stock OS is fine, and it does work nicely (though the pixel scaling is off for GBA titles). I installed MuOS and it is an amazing device right now. I take it with me everywhere in my pocket just in case I get a few minutes here and there to play a game.Being able to use an OS with a sleep timer is great too. The stock device allows for putting to sleep and waking resume, but MuOS allows for the sleep timer. This way, if I close the lid and it sits there for 10 minutes, it'll turn off to save battery and then I just need to boot it back up (10-12 seconds) and it pops me right back into my game.

I'm familiar with emulation and ROMs, people new to them may want a different device. I enjoyed playing games on the OEM TF card but installed my own 128GB SD and flashed Knulli Linux. Very happy with both OS's and the performance of the handheld. The screen looks great and all under $100.

This device is so cool! I got the black (transparent-ish) and it feels pretty solid overall, nice in your hand, buttons feel and respond well, closes well with a satisfying click.. this thing is fantastic! I ended up returning it because the pre-loaded SD card did not have any NES games, which I thought it did. I don’t have a computer to upload my own games for the handheld, so I returned it as it was a gift for my son who wanted the old Zelda games. I almost kept it for myself!
