I love the idea of a leaf collector that is like a tarp, but with some structure that makes it easier to hold the leaves in place as you take them onto it. This is a great idea that just isn’t very well made. The poles they slide into the sides to hold them in place are like tent ones that are held together with a cord and then slide into each other. The problem was that the poles, once put together, are too long,and it is almost impossible to bend it enough to get the end into the small pockets in the corner of the tarp. While trying to get it into the holding pocket there was so much tension that one of the poles pushed through the tarp creating a hole that made it impossible to secure that end of the pole. One of the pole pieces snapped the first time I used it, probably because they were under too much pressure once I managed to get it secured. The plastic spikes that hold the front corners of the tarp in place are a great idea and worked well, but they are attached weakly and started to fray after only a few hours of use. A stronger tarp material, poles that actually fit, and a stronger attachment for the plastic stakes would make this a 4 or 5 star items, but in its current form it was a waste of money.

I use this to drag my leaves AND garden debris to the curb when I'm raking or pruning. Holds so much more than a wheel barrow. Would have rated it five stars except the ground stakes are more trouble than they are useful.

I gave this 2 stars, good concept, but manufacturer needs to use stronger rods. Upon 3rd time empting tarp, we heard a snap and plastic rod broke inside metal connector. No way to fix it, so one side has no support. Should have went with reviews, many saying rods were cheap and broke easily, they are correct.

I bought this because I have woods behind my house where I drag and dump tarps loaded with leaves and yard/garden waste, and was looking for a tarp with sides that would catch what I take onto it and would have some rigidity around the edges and a little bit of weight so it would stay down and not let the leaves get under it and not blow in the wind. This seemed like it. Biggest problem is the rods that they provide to inset into three sides are extremely cheap plastic, and after a month of use ALL are broken. A product like this needs MUCH sturdier rods. Second complaint is that the sides are too low. A lot of what I raked into the product just flew over. Should be six to 13 inches higher on all sides. Last complaint is that the one edge that doesn’t have a rod or some weight is the front edge you rake over, so you still have an issue with stiff going under, just like a tarp. On the positive side, the hauler is made of nice, heavy duty material that seems like it will hold up well, and the handles are strong and conveniently located. If I can replace the rods with something stronger this would be ok.

Love it! Exactly what we needed. Cleaning up leaves takes a quarter of the time. Material isn’t super heavy duty so you wouldn’t want to drag it across rough surfaces but it should last a few years. For the price I don’t mind buying a new one as needed!

My wife ordered 2 of these this fall so we could clean up the leaves from our huge maple tree. they went together pretty easily and the worked great! better than the 'taco' type round leaf collectors. you can stake it down so the leaves don't go under it much and it catches the leaves at the back and sides. then it folds up and carries the leaves easily to the street. and then it folds up nicely for storage. we like this leaf collector the best.

too small a tarp for the pricethe rod ends don't stay in the holder that's supposed to hold them, and they come apart inside which makes it hard to use. they keep sticking out

This is an excellent product!! It has made fall leaf cleanup so much easier. It needs to be handled reasonably gently. No yanking,the support bars can snap. The bars are easy to put in place with two people as it is quite large. It does hold about 4 wheelbarrows so it is helpful to have a strong helper or just fill it less so it's lighter to haul away. The material seems strong enough. We put a rope through the loops on the edges so we haul it away standing (less or no bending). Very pleased with purchase. We may get another one as our yard is large with lots of trees.
