This is not stainless steel, as the description says. It’s not chrome plated either. It’s mild steel with what appears to be a cadmium or aluminized coating. So if you’re looking for a dress-up piece for your engine, this ain’t it. If you’re looking for just a purely functional part, this will probably do. I haven’t had it long enough to speak for its durability, but I suspect the spring pressure should be kept light to avoid bending it.

I needed this part for my '67 Fairlane so I could finish hooking up my cable activated kickdown. Lokar wanted 84 bucks for it, NO WAY was I paying that. Was going to just fab something up then I found this gem and saved a ton of money!
