How to Zoom the Telescope to Get Clear Sight?
Pull the Barlow to Be Longest
Before zooming the pirate telescope, You must pull the barlow all the way out, to the longest status. (IMPORTANT!!!) Otherwise you can not get the clear sight from the spyglass.
Adjust the Objective Lens
Point the objective lens to the object and look through from the eyepiece. You will get a vague sight of the object. Do not worry, do the next!
Adjust the Eyepiece to Get Clear Sight
Slightly push the barlow in bit by bit for focusing till you can see the object. Clear views will come to you finally if you slightly operate to change the barlow length.

As far as a kids telescope goes the item worked fine. Not the clearest, but focus is good and power is ok.

The person I bought this for loves it says that it works perfectly. They love the size and that it folds up into a little leather bag and they can just stick it in there console of the car and have it with them whenever they need to pull it out.

Tonight I saw the moon. It was beautiful, I was able to see the craters upon it. I witnessed the patterns that formed on it. It was all thanks to this great spy glass. And for those saying that they having a focusing problem, all you gotta do is twist the part closets to your eye left to zoom on and twist out to zoom out.

This is a great set for the price. I was thinking perhaps my telescope was defective because it was very unfocused, but after looking through the directions I was able to get very clear viewing and I feel like I have the hang of it now. Very neat tool.

Perfect for kids to play with. Looks more valuable than it really is, but that’s OK because kids are playing with it. Take the time to teach them to adjust the eyepiece and it works just fine. The compass will have to be placed on fairly surface to work, but it does.
