This was a great camera, literally just opened the package and started taking photos. I got the film developed at CVS, most pharmacies still offer the service but it's mail-in and expensive. The photos came out perfect, looks the same as back in the 90's.

Reminds me of old-school disposables. Brings back memories to the early 2000's. Functions exactly how you remember the old Kodak ones working. If you've never used them, it's simple: pre-installed film with a flash mechanism. Wind up the film, point, and shoot. Make some memories, scrapbook them, or be artsy-fartsy with your film. 5 stars, just like it used to be and that makes my aging butt feel nostalgic.

I gave this to my oldest to use for a party she was going to. She took a decent mix of indoor and outdoor photos, a few where flash was important and others where it wouldn't matter. Overall, I'd say about 1/2 of the photos were overexposed, a few way underexposed, and 1 was just blown out entirely. Seeing as I took the camera to a local camera spot that has done some amazing work with our 35mm, I don't think it had anything to do with the negatives or prints on their end. Sticking the negatives into a scanner, I can see the results are exactly as they printed, so it was definitely just a hit or miss result from the camera or film.Would I buy it for actual use? Probably not at the regular price, but maybe if it were on sale for a large chunk off. I could probably justify it.

I needed a disposable camera and chose this one, not realizing that "emoticon" meant that the film already has emojis on it. So, this camera will still be used, but more for candid shots than anything else. So far, the camera has been easy enough to use.

Okay, first things first, it's a pretty good build quality, honestly. I grew up with disposable cameras, so when I got this, the first thing I asked myself was "were they always this heavy?" My little sister is a huge, HUGE fan of anything Japanese, and she's been bugging me relentlessly to help her get into film photography. This was the perfect gift. Just seeing the package made her excited. So onto the meat: The film itself is ISO 400, which is a good middle ground for almost any occasion. Decent on cloudy days, decent indoors (using the flash), it's a disposable camera, you know what it looks like. The directions on the camera explain how to use it very well, showing the distance between subjects that you're wanting to take pictures of, it's all very easy to explain and understand.Development: It's standard C-41, so virtually ANY film lab can process it. Often times, off brand cameras tend to use ECN-2 (old motion picture film, usually) because it's cheap for them to purchase in bulk, and that can't be processed at a C-41 lab, so this makes this camera, already, an even better entry point for new photographers.Quality: Well, looking at how her photos came out, it looks to me like whatever film is inside of this, it's most likely re-branded Fujifilm, so expect cooler colors. Yellows and brows appear a little more muted, while greens and blues tend to pop more. The little hearts and letters are a great, fun addition to the pictures themselves. While not exactly my style, I'm not a 16 year old girl, either, so I'm just happy she's happy.Overall, the camera seriously worked well. The flash is a hold button style, so press it down, take a picture, and release the button. Simple design, good execution, and fun to use. That's all that really matters. If they ever make a little point and shoot that looks like this one, I'll have to pick it up. She was devastated when I told her that the film lab can't give her the camera back when she's done with it.
