Perfect CB radio for keeping in touch when on the road or it makes a perfect base station CB which is the reason I purchased. I used to be into CB radios in the 80's I got the bug back since I'm retired with plenty of time on my hands . Sound is good , love the Am- FM feature and so far the radio is working perfectly with no complaints from me . Definitely a keeper for my radio collection .

I really love the options. like roger beep, auto-scan, etc., but my unit is having some malfunctioning issues. AM & FM overlap each other. When I tried to do a radio check on channels that had conversation, I wasn't getting a response so I decided to do a radio check with another unit. When I tried to communicate over channel 19, it was also coming through on channel 12 as well as other channels.

Last time I'd owned a CB radio was back around 1960. Back then the problem was heavy traffic. Now, I rarely get traffic on any channel except 6 and close by channel. That is mostly skip. But the main reason I bought it was just in case SHTF.As to how it compares to others on the market, I have not way to compare.

This little radio easily became one of my all-time favorite mobiles. It’s very simple to operate, and has an amazing receive. The audio quality is very on par with more expensive radios, and its output is comparable to radios with twice the power output. *MUST match it with a quality antenna*

The retevis MB2 is a smaller sized radio. It will fit in some of the more compact vehicles.The radio is small, but full of features; many of these features are not in the owner's manual. However, there are quite a few videos online which will show anyone interested in expanding the unit's abilities exactly what to do.If this radio's performance & endurance qualities are on par with retevis' ham and gmrs units, I can see it serving well for many years to come.

I bought this little cb for tinkering purposes really.. and what I’ve found out is that it’s well worth the price. It’s a well built radio. It’s definitely quality. The size is very convenient. I took a bit of Velcro and installed it in my vehicle. Ran the antenna cable through the inside of my door to the roof. Not really professionally installed but I don’t want to do any permanent fixes. The size holds nicely and the PTT sits nicely beside my steering wheel with an adhesive PTT holder.I checked the output and antenna with a SWR and it’s actually pretty on point. My only complaint is the 12 volt cigarette power supply. While convenient, yes, but doesn’t really push far to pick up much signal. If someone is pretty close you’ll get a clean signal but it has problems over a half mile in my opinion.
