Bought this for my 87 year old mother to use during storms. Very easy for her to use and works well. She’s able to get AM/FM and weather stations.

This smaller radio has great sound quality and plays at a high enough volume to be heard easily. It is perfect for my Kitchen counter and takes D batteries to use when power may go off. It's a great replacement for my larger, older radio. It also picks up an FM station that is usually our powered by stations near it.

The radio itself is very nice, compact, and it’s easy to get the radio station you want. Just what an analogue radio should be. I have issues with the sound quality.Good: works with batteries, haven’t tested the battery life but seems pretty efficient. My son played with it for a few hours on batteries with no problem.Bad: when listening to music, there’s a distinct metallic “ringing” sound that reverberates on deep sounds or low notes. Mostly bass guitar and piano. I first noticed it when “somewhere only we know” was playing on a music station. The piano in the background of the song sounded like a person wearing high-heels walking through a concrete tunnel. Or maybe like a train crossing alarm going off in the distance. It’s distracting to the point that it’s unlistenable.I mostly use the radio to listen to talk radio, news, sports, and occasional classical music (something to have on as white noise at night). For these purposes, it’s great. I’m using it to listen to classical music right now and it sounds perfect. The violins sound like violins. The flutes sound like flutes. But songs that have a lot of bass, guitar, or backing piano, just don’t sound right on this little guy. If you plan to use this radio to listen to modern music, you might want to keep looking.

Like the wide dial, easy tuning, very good reception. Bought for when the power goes off. Sound is good, long antennae, good value for the money.

I wanted a radio that was portable, and I could listen to at home. I'm very pleased with this radio. It has great clarity and the speaker is loud. The build quality is excellent, and it was not very expensive. also, the reception is great. you can be sure that this is a good purchase. Also, it was not expensive so it is a bargain.

I like this radio, it's as good or better than the Panasonic RF-2400 that broke after 21 years of use.pros:Good sound. I prefer the 'high' tone setting on AM, most people say they don't like it in the reviews. Will work for a long time with 3 D batteries. It's the right size for me. You can clearly see everything in minimal light.Seems to be well made. Won't know for sure for a year or two.Cons:When the antenna is up, you can't fold the handle open or closed. (most radios have the same issue)Radio would be perfect if the tuning display had a light (LED?) you could turn on/off in darkness.Because it uses three D batteries the weight may damage the radio if it's dropped. I prefer the D batteries though.

Who knew I'd be jamming to the classics and catching the news with my Retekess TR604 AM/FM Radio? This retro gem brings back all the nostalgic feels, but with some cool modern features. It’s got the full AM/FM range, a big ol' speaker that can go from low hum to full boom, and even a high/low tone mode so I can adjust the sound depending on whether I’m feeling groovy or just need some background tunes. But here’s the real game-changer: the dual power options! It runs on batteries and plugs into the wall, so when the power’s out and WiFi is down, I’m still in the loop. No more panicking during a storm—I just pop in the batteries, and we’re back in business. And let me tell you, the earphone jack is a lifesaver when I need a little peace from the chaos of life (or the barking dog next door). This radio is so simple, even Grandma could use it—if I let her get her hands on it! ( I ordered her one) 😊 So, if you want a radio that’s dependable, easy to use, and ready for power outages, the Retekess TR604 is your new best friend. It's a solid blast from the past that knows how to keep you connected when it matters most!
