I’ve had the Respawn Flex Mesh Gaming Chair for a little over a year, and I can confidently say it has been nothing short of phenomenal. I was initially hesitant about going for a mesh chair, as I was leaning toward fabric or other materials, but I’m so glad I made the switch. The mesh provides excellent support and comfort, and it’s breathable, which is a huge plus on those hot summer days. One thing I’d mention is that the lumbar support could be a bit more pronounced. While it’s adjustable, I feel it could protrude a little more for better spinal comfort. The adjustment range is fine, but I personally think it could go a bit higher. That said, it’s not a deal-breaker. I added a lumbar support pad to complement it, which made a big difference.Aside from that, the chair has held up incredibly well over the past year. The durability and build quality are excellent, and it still feels as comfortable as the day I got it. For the price, it’s absolutely worth every penny. If you’re looking for a high-quality, breathable gaming chair that stands the test of time, Respawn Flex Mesh is a great choice. Don’t hesitate—this is a buy!

After less than a year of use the foam armrests had compressed so much that the screws on the underside began to poke through. SCREWS! POKING THROUGH THE ARMREST! Not only that but most of the pleather has now peeled off and the chair looks horrible. Combine that with the sinking piston that starts at around the 2 year mark. This is not a good chair, it is a cheap chair. If you plan on using this for only a year or less then go for it. But it you want a chair that you can rely on for more than that you should look elsewhere.

I have used multiple types of chairs over the years. I've tried typical office chairs, as well as gaming chairs. I have a DXracer (Fabric Seat) for my racing simulator and used to have a Dyrus Signature by Noble Chairs (Leather Seat) for my main desk.Though both chairs are fairly comfortable I still had aches and pain from sitting for more than an hour or two. After looking at multiple options I landed on Mesh chairs seeming to be the best alternative.I have used Respawn chairs (Bucket Seat Version) in the past as family members have them and liked the quality. As a 5'11 Male weighing ~160lb the chair is the perfect height and the mesh is the perfect tension once it was broken in.I did have worries about the mesh coming apart or snagging but so far have not had any issues through 2 months of decent use. The chair also eleviates body heat as the mesh back keeps you cool. I also notice that the side bolsters up at the shoulders are barely noticable. My build fits nicely to the contours of the chair. The lumbar support is a bit more aggressive than the pillows which means it actually is effective. My back took a little getting used to, but I have noticed that my posture has been significantly better since using this chair and now that I'm used to it, it's far more comfortable. I can sit in this chair far longer than my previous ones and also think that the quality is amazing even when compared to my DXRacer which is a similar price to this chair or even my Noble Chair which MSRP was almost $600 when it came out. Please note that my experience may differ from other as all people have different preferences on types and styles of chairs as well as different builds.

I originally had a respawn chair and this one feels like an improvement. The chair feels nice with the mesh. Seat feels kinda stiff but it's not as bad as sitting on a worn out chair, so I'm willing to give it a break in period. I did have one issue with the chair after assembling it. My left arm rest is loose compared to my right arm rest. Overall it was easy to assemble but quality could be better.

Easy to assemble chair, but it needs frequent tightening to the bolts, which i assume will stop doing the job soon. The chair isnt that comfortable, especially when sitting in it for 10+ hours a day. Not durable, as threads are already pulling after 2 weeks of having it. Makes too many noises for a new chair, sounds broken or something.

1/11/2021 EDIT: I'm out. Both arms are super wobbly with no way to tighten. The padding on both arms has collapsed (second time for the left arm). It still makes crunch noises when you sit back. I still felt like I was sliding out of the chair a bit at all times. I'm probably done with "leather" chairs altogether. I went with a Union & Scale™ FlexFit Dexley Mesh Task Chair from Staples. I paid $125 and it was delivered for free the next day. Super easy to put together, it's comfortable, lots of adjustments, and overall I feel way better about this.8/10/2020 EDIT: My positive thoughts about this chair are diminishing. Less than 4 months in and the hydraulic lift is failing. It will not stay in its extended state unless I sit perfectly still. Any moving around and it starts to creep down. I've submitted a warranty request for a new one but it doesn't make me excited for the future of this chair. Downgraded to 3 stars.7/6/2020 EDIT: I've owned it for a little over 2 months now. I don't love it. It still makes lots of creaking/crunching noises (minor issue of course) but I think the chair makes me hot (sweating more) and it still feels like I'm always sliding forward out of the chair a bit. Not sure if that's how it's built or if there's an issue with my specific unit. The padding on the left arm fully collapsed not long after my original review - it was very uncomfortable. I submitted a warranty request through Respawn's website and received a reply the next day (approved for replacement). I had a new left arm on my door step in less than 2 weeks. I don't feel a reason to change my score (4 stars) but I'll update as time goes on.----------------------ORIGINAL REVIEW----------------------Preface: I've only owned it for just a few weeks.Assembly was outstanding - one of the easiest things I've ever assembled. I used a ratchet and hex bit, not the included hex wrench. I'm sure the wrench would be fine.I was worried it would look a little goofy being a gamer chair but, seeing it in person after assembly, I think it's pretty sharp. Not professional but definitely not ridiculous like I expected.Other reviews have stated the arms feel loose - I can confirm that. The bolts are as tight as they go but the arms aren't real solid. They're not loose enough to make me concerned but it is something to note. The left arm already has a divot where my arm constantly rests (relaxed or typing) which isn't a good sign for the padding. The "infinite locking positions" concept works well. It's easy to adjust based on your needs. There is sometimes a crunching noise when I sit back in the chair - the chair back noticeably tilts back 1/4" or so. I think this is just something with the tilt mechanism. It's not concerning yet but time will tell.I do wish the front of the chair bottom was tilted up just a bit to ensure you're back against the chair. If I recline back, my butt will slide forward a bit.I need to continue to try out the footrest but so far I don't like it. I'm about 5'11" and the end of the foot rest is mid calf which is not very supportive.Overall I don't have any major complaints. We'll see how long it holds up. I had my last chair for 10 years (too long). The padding was very worn and a large portion of the bonded leather had flaked off.
