I have tried several companies dice molds. This is the best one so far. I would give it 4 1/2 stars but that isn't an option. I have tried epoxy resin, UV resin and even air dry clay (which works really nice) In the end they are all wonderful until I remove the top after curing. When I tried UV Resin and after a few weeks they leaked having not completely cured in the middle. That said if I layered it and cured it by each layer it was pretty good. However...when I remove the top I get little air bubble holes. I have coated the top with resin prior to placing it on the base mold. I have tried curing it upside down and right side up and I still have little holes somewhere. I'll keep working at it and see how it goes.The ones that did turn out (about 50+ of them) I boxed up and gave to my grandson for Christmas...who loves playing D&D. He's 13 so he doesn't care about the imperfections. He tells his friends his grandmother made him D&D dice! So proud when he tells me I'm his cool grandma.Some of them I made keychains with. I'll keep working with it. I can't say it is user error but I've made over 100 of these, some leaked and had to be discarded. Others it's hard to color the numbers because of the holes and difficult to fix by filling in.

Love the numbers on these dice, but I HATE that they are defective. I returned my first one for a new one and the new one was also defective. The numbers are bumpy making it very difficult, near impossible to paint the numbers nicely. Ugh. Maybe I'll try again one day, but I'll look for a new mold today.

The 9 dice mold was perfect. Even being on of the "cheap flimsy internet molds" this mold still produced pretty quality dice. Unfortunately, only a 7 dice mold is available now, so you do not get the variety for D4 dice.

I love the unique shapes this mold offers. And while it's INTENDED for resin, I decided to buy and use it with pillar wax for my dnd themed candles that we sell here at Tales By Light Candle Co. The first time O filled them even to the edge of the top of the mold cavity. I advise to not do that as a few ended up with small crevices at the top of the mold (which isn't a super big deal of you're just using it for candle toppings but not so much with resin. Now I slightly overfill them so they spill over a bit and then carefully but firmly place the lid of the mold on. A few hours later and voilà! Did shaped wax! As far as age goes, I put 10 but I would make sure if they are between 10 and 16 they have an adult assist and maybe have light supervision for upper teens. Resin and hot wax are no joke.

This is so well designed that even a newby like me was able to create decent dice (mostly) the first time using it. I also like that the numbers are as big as possible on each die.Some tips for UV resin:* You can't over UV it. I got best results with two 200 second blasts on EACH side.* The cover is genious. I will now start using a cover for all my uv molds I want to have a flat top. Almost no sanding or often NO sanding required. And don't worry about knowing the right way to put it on. The indents only work one way.* When you put on the cover, do it in a rolling motion from one side to the next to squeeze out air bubbles.Have a very slight dome on each due to help with bubbles.I made 7 sets of dice in the last 2 days with this. By the end they were almost factory quality.

bought this mold to use with my dice making, instead the mold, despite using plenty of mold release, fused with the resin and in order to get the first set of dice I have ever made in it out I ended up having to destroy it, do not buy this mold if your wanting to make dice, it won't survive past the first set. DO NOT BUY
