This has the nostalgia of a traditional Walkman but with modern capabilities and an onboard speaker.Really brings back fond memories of my youth. The only criticism I have, is that you have to be fairly precise when loading the cassette, in order for it to dock properly.Other than that, this sounds and functions, just as expected. The hunt is on, to build up my cassette collection again!

The Reshow cassette converter works well as it is designed. Some how there is a noise interference as it is recording.I think the case should be made clear so that you can see the cassette. Otherwise it is a good product.

The cassette player arrives well-packed in a nicely presented box. I couldn't wait to show my kids this, they had no idea what it was! Luckily, I managed to find a few old tapes gathering dust to show them how it worked. They were not impressed! It plays music perfectly fine, and should I have a need to get those old songs onto my laptop, it's easily done with this directly via the supplied USB cable, instead of trying to do it the old way by using AUX cables earphone port to microphone port which was never reliable due to the volume levels never being a good match! The nice features on this one is that it can also be used as a voice recorder, and has a built-in speaker, something none of my portable cassettes ever had when I was growing up, and of course, it can be powered by USB-C or AA batteries.Overall, it's an interesting device to see on the market. A little on the pricey side considering tech has moved on considerably since Walkman were all the rage back then. For what it is, it does a good job for whoever might need an old school cassette player, or who needs to get analogue copies into a digital format on their PC... 4.5/5 stars!

I successfully digitized my old cassett recordings with the Reshow. I had to download a free program Audacity to make it work and everything was extremely user friendly. Highly recommend this product to anyone with old recording they want to turn into a digital file.

5 out of 5 Stars (4.6)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐[TL;DR][QUALITY] (5/5)[VALUE] (4/5)[EASE OF USE] (4/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (5/5)[PACKAGING] (5/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]This is a cool portable cassette player/recorder. It is billed as a 'cassette converter' which is apt for this product. The device comes packed well, with minimal waste. The device also comes with an 18 month extended warranty, USB-C cable, AUX cable, and manual. The "RESHOW" is modelled from the style of WalkMan®️, which for most Gen-X'ers was the gold star standard in portable cassette listening and recording devices. The "RESHOW" did not come with batteries, you need 2xAA to power the device. It is not rechargeable. The USB-C cable can be used as a power supply, or to connect to your computer to transfer music from the "RESHOW" to your computer. This is done using your favourite audio recording software, or you can use the suggested software "Audacity", which is an open source software that is quite popular and has been around for a long time. The device has a built in mic, control buttons (play, stop, record, rev, fwd) and a volume control. There is an AUX out jack for earphones, which I am surprised were not included. The record quality is decent, the magic for me, was the ability to transfer audio digitally to my computer. I have a small collection of older tapes that I would like to transfer before the tapes snap. This was always a worry with well loved, over enjoyed tapes. The stress! All in all, this is a decent device to transfer digitally your tape collection, or tapes that are memorable. The value is present for those who require this type of converting tool. The process is quite easy, yet, time consuming. However, the results are timeless restoration of valued memories. Recommended. In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

I have an extensive collection of cassettes that I haven’t listened to in years. My main reason is that there are usually only three to five songs on an entire album that I really like and scrolling through tape to try to find the songs I want to hear is time consuming. Plus, I’ve gotten so accustomed to being able to listen to what I want with a quick click that it has made me kind of impatient (and maybe lazy). This recorder allows me to directly record the cassettes to a Zoom H1n while I work on other projects. I then take the files and using software, I can choose the songs I want and save them to individual mp3 files. I’ve already done multiple cassettes and it has worked well. The quality of the recordings I get is great, but some of that may be attributed to noise canceling and other adjustments in my software and recording equipment. As for playing the cassettes on the device, I found the speaker to be not good quality. Not a big deal to me as I’m not using the speaker to listen to music, but only as a place marker for finding what I want on the tape. Additionally, the cassette player seems a little cheap looking with the plastic. It also requires batteries (no rechargeable battery is included). You can also run it with a USB-C cable. One other negative is that it “clicks” while it cycles through the tape. The click does not appear on the recording and I couldn’t even find a visual wave spike on the digital file indicating the click. So, here’s my takeaway. I got this solely for the purpose of transferring tape to digital format. It does the job way better than anticipated for the price point. I have no issues with the recorded songs and they sound great in my headphones. For all the visual negatives and even the clicking noise the unit makes as it runs, it still does an excellent job for my intentions. When I complete the transfers of cassettes to digital format, I probably won’t use the unit again and just donate it to someone that can use it to get their music to digital format. For my intended purpose, this is a five star product. If I was solely using this device to listen to cassettes, I would not like it so much. I actually rated the product at 4 stars overall because it is advertised as having an “excellent” speaker, which I did not experience. Hopefully this information will help someone out.

I’ve owned a few portable cassette players over the years as I grew up during the peak of cassette. I’ve been enjoying the renaissance of the cassette tape. This portable cassette player is a modern take on the cassette tape with a few upgrades. The most obvious is the use USB, cassette playback can easily be transferred to a digital file. USB is also a power option for use, the other option is two “AA” batteries. There is 3.5mm jack input to record to cassette and a built in mic. A built in speaker is located on the front of the player. I would say the strength of this player is the ease to transfer cassette to digital. It’s fairly easy to do with Audacity once set up. Sound quality is acceptable but I found it lacks the dynamics of cassette players made four decades ago. As with any of the few modern tape players there are no Dolby encoders. The build quality of the player could use some improvements, it’s a fully functioning player but it feels cheap and disposable. My biggest complaint is the loud pop I hear pressing the stop button or forward/reverse. An older player would never have that issue. I did find the speaker useful. I have a lot of unmarked cassette and the speaker is a good tool to preview or verify what is on the cassette. For todays standards this is a good cassette player but it doesn’t even come close to a bottom rung player from the 80’s. I don’t want to sound too harsh because I can see this player being the coolest thing ever for someone who has never owed a cassette player and I’m not trying to be discouraging because this is a fully functional player with acceptable sound quality. I do recommend this portable cassette player for that reason. For someone like me, I rather find a vintage player as it will have the sound quality I expect. There aren’t too many new players being made and especially at this price. I do think this is a reasonably priced cassette player best suited for someone new to cassette tape.
