In August 2024, i got the repti zoo uva & uvb card to test my cars front windshield and drivers side window. i just installed an 80% window tint on the drivers side window. Card was very handy and gives me good confidence my driver side window is allowing almost zero uva/uvb thru. Front wind shield shows a little more rays coming thru but repti zoo card result is almost not visible when looking at results (which means almost no uva/uvb is getting to the repti card on dashboard. Most car side windows allow much more uva/uvb to transmit thru the glass as compared to front wind shields.

We have a few reptile tanks with UVB lights, always wondering if the lights are still good, we do replace the lights every 6 months, bought these cards cuz they say they will do 500 usages. Them, they seem to work. It said the lights were still good, however, we still did replace the lights at our normal 6-month interval.

Needed a quick and cheap method to test glass in picture frames to see if UV resistant. Works well for that purpose.

This profuct you hold under the light and it turns a shade of purple. It's really hard to tell "ok" vs "change soon", but you can see CHANGE NOW easily. It's just subjective because it's colors the card changes, not values or anything quantifiable, which I would prefer. Good for the price.

I bought this to quickly test if my bearded dragon’s UVB light was still emitting UV. I found this card really easy to use. Like some people said, it doesn’t differentiate between UVB and other UV but it quickly turned purple and the bulb should still be good so I’m taking that as sign the bulb is still good.

I bought these for my tortoise after her UV bulb burnt out the first time and these cards work Wonderfully. I no longer have to worry about the bulb burning out without my knowledge anymore (as it had been out for a few days before I noticed). If I have any doubts, I can easily test the lamp to see if it still works and now do regular checks. These bring me a lot of comfort being able to know at any moment that my Tortoise is receiving adequate UVB.Word of advice though: Place the card at the level where the reptile will actually be. The bulb can be working just fine according to the card if it’s being held right under the lamp, but there’s still the possibility that not enough UVB is actually reaching the animal and you don’t realize because the wrong height has been measured.I normally place one card down on top of each of my tortoises favourite basking/climbing spots to test the UV levels that she is actually receiving.

This is perfect. Ideal for its intended use--just hold it around your pet's enclosure to see if the UV light is reaching whatever spot you're testing. I found out that the UV light just... wasn't. I moved the light, and within a day or two my bearded dragon was much more active and happier. When you hold the card up to UV light--or wherever you're testing--there's a purple sun on the left side of the card that slowly appears (~10 seconds or so to full appearance) if the UV levels are sufficient, like transitioning glasses lenses. The sun fades away slowly (a minute or two). The drawback is that if you're testing multiple spots in the enclosure, you'll need to wait for it to fade to test again. But to mitigate that, the package includes two cards.I can't speak to the longevity of the card, but it claims that each is reusable up to about 500 10-second exposures. They're cheap enough that even if it doesn't quite last that long, they're easily replaceable.I had no bias either way ordering this, but I will never set up an enclosure again without one. It's that useful.

These cards are fine for giving you a general idea of the UV output of a bulb. I am concerned that (reportedly) some bulbs can continue to provide high UVA output while their UVB output output declines, which would make the cards a very bad test.I am also want to note that the cards absolutely measure UVA, and not only UVB. I saw another review that claimed the cards wouldn't detect anything through windows, but did detect direct sunlight - this is NOT how the cards I received work. They absolutely are measuring UVA as well.

Hasta ahora todo bien, solo falta ver que tenga la durabilidad que viene en la descripción.

Super simple way to make sure your critters are getting proper uvb! Gives me piece of mind knowing the bulb is working properly showed up quickly and will definitely last me a long time! Worth the buy

I needed a device or tester or something to help me gauge the longevity of the UVB bulb for my bearded dragon. Kept finding light meters or really expensive wavelength meters but nothing to help me simply determine if my bulb was still viable without a huge investment, and then I found these. AWESOME, SIMPLE, PERFECT!!! You just simply hold it under the light for a moment and look for a reaction, and it works. It's not like a meter so you can't tell how bright the UVB factor still is, but its simple, if it barely indicates or doesn't indicate UVB at all...then...the bulb is not producing the UVB its supposed to.
