These things were a direct replacement, fit great, even has the same thread as the old ones so I could reuse the flush fitting screws in the existing chair.However, these are described as "firm" and really, they are nearly rock hard. My elbows hurt after using them for 1 day. I won't return them, but will find something else to replace these with.

The only issue that I encountered was the mounting screws. The supplied screws didn't fit, so I simply had to reuse the original screws. Problem solved.

The original pads were flat, these are curved. They felt weird for the first couple of days. After getting used to them, they are great.

The pads arrived on-time and in excellent condition. The only 'con' was that I needed to the installation holes that were 5 1/2" apart and there was some substance just below the surface of the bolt threads that made inserting the bolts difficult. I was able to muscle the bolts into the holes and everything is fine but installing the bolts was harder than it should have been.

I wanted to use the two outer mounting holes, which are 5.5" apart. On both of the arms, one of these two holes was somehow not threaded properly, so that the bolt would not screw into the arm. I was on the point of sending these defective arms back, but I got some bigger tools and applied more pressure, and eventually the bolts screwed all the way through the threads. Seems like the manufacturer could use a bit better quality control. Now that the arms are mounted on my chair, I am, so far, very happy with them. Time will tell how well they are built ... hopefully they will last for years to come.
