Like others have said it needs the square peg cut off but it works like it should. 👍

Product worked great but as others have stated there is a plastic stand that needs to be removed. I used an oscillating cutting tool but I reckon a sharp serrated knife could cut through easily enough.

First time I ordered the wrong fan. Ordered correct fan. Installed with no problems, didn’t have to trim the leg that everyone else in the reviews said was needed. It fit perfectly, works great. No issues whatsoever.

Fixed the problem with the Xbox and I didn’t have to buy a new one. My 11 year son installed it himself and it was easy for him.

Item description states "Replacement Internal Cooling Fan for Xbox Series S (XSS) Console" does not fit XBox Series S without some modifications as others have mentioned. Fan seems to be working with modifications to the square block, but product description should be updated to reflect correct product.

Best replacement! Had to look up a video of course on taking it apart & installing but it was simple & works great! Very silent & keeps my xbox cool, now add this with the stand that has fans in it & your good to go for long gaming hours with out worrying about your console over heating!

This was the 2nd fan I bought. My Xbox series S fan would constantly run, even when off. Since it's outside of warrantee, I figured I have nothing to lose. The square peg gets in the way. Other reviews stated the fan works great after removing the peg. So I heated a stainless steel knife blade on the stove and the peg sliced off fairly easy. IT WORKED! My Xbox is silent!! Let's see how long it lasts.Update: My Xbox is silent, I have added another star because I'm so happy it's worked so well. Still sucks having to do the modification but worth it.

Great product. Fixed my xbox with this fan and the tools it came with. Only concern was a small piece of plastic that I had to cut off to get the fan to completely lay flat inside the xbox. I think this was a discrepancy between xbox models and was not an issue with a little bit of DIY work.
