Hi. Please note that these IonVac ZipVac filters don't last long. The vacuum itself is pretty good, good suction as a small hand held vacuum. You can extend the life of a filter by brushing out the dirt and blowing out as much dust and gunk as possible from the cone shaped filter as possible. But, the sign that the filter is ready to replace is when the actual fabric in the cone filter begins to fluff out and disintegrate. You can still get some more use from it by gently brushing out the cone filter, but it will begin to fluff out as the fabric decays. I tried to rinse the cones in the beginning and then leave them outside to dry -- that seemed to help. But eventually you'll need to replace them. I bought a 4 pack of cone filters. The filters don't last long, but you can extend their use by rinsing out the dirt, or by brushing the dirt out, and blowing it out. Good luck!
