Seemed like just cleaning the old filter with a brush and beating it was fine. After a while you just know the fabric is just choked from lots of use. No matter what you do.These are affordable and work superbly. Brought new life to my vac.Two thumbs up.

This product is nothing like the cloth bag it supposedly replaces. It has a slick, slimey feel that does not trap the small dirt particles like the original, just lets them pass on through the vacuum to get kicked out into the air.
