I have had it a short time so I can't talk about longevity. I inherited a ride on vehicle for my son. It is from a lesser known brand. Since the first owners lost the charging cable and were giving it to us free, we needed a charging cable. The one we got was meant for the big name brand but not the connector of the one we had. Looking for replacement parts was futile for the other brand. Since the original battery has an unknown status of is health, I decided to get a new one.Since we already had a charger from the same brand, I decided to get a battery that it should work with. I was also able to find a connector for the vehicle that could work with this battery too. All of these parts were cheaper than the one little known web site I found that did have the proper brand of the vehicle. So I gladly went with converting to the newer, more common connector.I was able to do the first 18 hour charge while waiting for the connector to ship. Once the new connector arrived, I snipped the wires and hooked up the new connector. I took out the old battery which had a white case to hold it in place. The footprint of the battery is slimmer and taller than the original battery. But only an inch or so taller. That means I can still use the top part of the case to hold the slimmer battery in place so it doesn't fall out or slide around. So far I have had to charge the battery once. The battery has kept a charge over several days. Perfect for what I need. It gets moderate use now that the initial excitement has gone down. But it is still great for the price. The picture shows the battery under the white case. The included connector is hooked up to the new connector I wired in (the part with the white cable). No problems connecting to the charger either. If it gets used a lot, I might buy a second to swap when the other is being charged.

My kids have been using this replacement battery for a couple weeks now. It goes in a 2 seater mustang. Total kid weight is 95 pounds and this battery has not blown a fuse yet or had any issues. It is visibly about half the size of the original, but it doesn't seem to impact power or battery life before needing recharge. The car has a 2.5 mph speed setting and a 5 mph speed setting and the battery is fine running on high speed with both of them in the car. They use it in the yard with some slight inclines and on the street during walks which has the battery running for about 30 minutes straight to make it back home. One thing I don't understand about these batteries is why they don't provide smart chargers with them. I believe that most battery damage or issues come from over-charging or under-charging the battery and using them anyway. Generally people don't want to either wait the estimated time of about 12 hours or they plug it in and forget about it charging it for a couple days. Any reviews stating the battery started smoking, don't charge inside house.. that's likely due to overcharging. Honestly, just do yourself a favor and get a $10 multi meter. They are super handy anyway. I test all batteries using a multi meter; button batteries, AA, AAA, C, D, car batteries.. you name it. That way you don't overcharge rechargeable batteries and don't throw away small batteries that might be good when just one of the batteries in a multi battery device is dead.If using a multi meter, measure the voltage after the initial 24 hour charge. Write down the measured voltage if needed, that will be your target voltage every time you recharge. This small battery held about 13 volts for me. So depending how much use the battery has gotten, guestimate your charge time. Not every play session will drain a battery 100%, so a full recharge may only take 4 hours instead of 12, hence the common overcharging issues. Use the multi meter to measure the voltage of the battery across the positive and negative leads. Measure the voltage with the charger unplugged from the wall. Doesn't need to be unplugged from the battery, just the wall. At the target voltage stop charging the battery just like a smart charger would. The battery will last much longer and you will start to get a pretty good idea of how long the battery needs to be charged after each use.Currently the connectors seem very sturdy and secure. I'd guess a long time before they wear out and break. Once you put the connectors on, there is no need to take them off so don't do that. Its likely that constantly connecting and disconnecting the connectors would cause failure pretty quick. Also, as I said, no fuses have blown yet and the battery has been used and charged about 5 times now. But fuses and connectors are cheap to replace if they are damaged at any point - under $5 from auto parts store, maybe even less on Amazon. It's so hard to determine on Amazon if a product is good or not when there is no product without some negative reviews. So we are left guessing was a negative review due to user error or does the product truly have problems? Currently, I highly recommend this replacement battery. Keep it in perspective that it is half the cost of a genuine power wheels battery, so you shouldn't really expect the quality, performance, or ease of use. But this knock off does a nice job of being a replacement if used properly.Lastly, I will provide updates only if I start having any issues with the battery. So if no update, then the battery is still running great!

I have been through multiple Fisher Price replacement batteries as well as two other very well known replacement and they all worked about the same, charged in the same amount of time and ran for roughly the same as well. The problem I have always had is that they only last about 6 months before they quit holding a charge altogether and even well before that they slowly last less time and take longer to charge. NOT THESE BATTERIES!! I couldn't more highly recommend these batteries for multiple reasons. First off, they maintain the power output when going up hills unlike any other batteries we have used. Normally you can hear the motor strain up a hill and it slows considerably but not with these , I don't know if they are a higher amperage or something, but whatever the case they maintain power and speed up the hills. These batteries are very slim and almost half the size of a factory battery which makes them great for converting a 12 volt to an 18 or 24 volt, as you can easily fit them together in the battery compartment. The price was amazing, they come with the batteries and the wiring harness included, you simply have to slip the female connectors of the harness over the battery terminal and either lightly crimp them or tap them and they are ready to go. I saw other batteries advertised at similar prices but if you looked carefully you would see you had to buy the wiring separate. I was also very happy to be able to buy a 2 year unconditional warranty through Asurion for only 8 dollars, none of the other batteries I ever bought offered that and one of the companies in the past wouldn't even honor their own 3 month warranty after sending me a defective battery that never worked. I have used Asurion for many other product warranties and have rarely had any problems, so that was a relief. I can't say enough about the quality, price, functionality, service and delivery of this product. I had it delivered on my doorstep within one week. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
