Overall is a good screen, but is a very tedious process to replace if your existing screen is very busted. My screen was VERY shattered, so when attempting to remove it the edges kept breaking off. All in all - it took me about 3 hours to complete and I have a small gap in one corner (this was my fault because I left too much slack on the home button’s ribbon cable). My iPad is now functional again with only having to pay $50 compared to a new one at $329 or a professional screen replacement around $150-200. 5 Stars!

Update: 8/30/22 Seller contacted me and send a replacement screen which arrived quick, I waited to do update to see if this screen replacement on 7 gen iPad was going to work properly after at least a week of use and it is doing great. Easy installation and it is working perfect, no issues so far and installation was a breeze. Just make sure you get your own adhesive tube to get screen to adhiere properly.Installation is a plus; Easy installation after carefully removing all broken glass pieces from original screen and cleaning shell, it worked really good and looked wonderful. 2 days later: screen lagging, touch response is annoying and slow, adhesion is not holding. Disappointed after what I thought was a success this screen is just not working for me. Tools were good and like I said it seemed great at first but TWo days after installation screen is acting up!

The kit included all the tools needed, but the instructions were inadequate. The paper instructions contain important recommendations (especially about the care needed to remove the home button), but lacked the details needed to complete the repair. To compensate, they included a card that directs you to their website to find links to YouTube installation guides. There I was directed to three guide videos. I chose the first one listed. Big mistake. From almost start, my experience differed from the video. My screen didn’t simply lift off in one piece, it cracked into small pieces along the edges and in each corner as I tried the insert the wedge. These pieces stuck to the frame, and more importantly, to the ribbon connectors attached to the screen…and particularly all around the home button assembly. In the process of trying to remove the pieces, the button separated from its support frame and one of the tiny black support pads peeled off the frame, remained stuck to the collection of black glass shards and adhesive, and was lost. My home button now does not work properly.I recommend you read the installation hints in the box and watch ALL three of the YouTube videos.I learned a lot thru trial and error and actually think I could now do this repair perfectly.I bought this $65 kit because I was worried that, despite their favorite ratings, the

It took me a few (3 ish) hours to get this accomplished but I took my time and had an issue figuring out my new home button I had to install. This is definitely not a 1 hour project in my opinion unless you're a pro.First off, I'm not an overly techy person but I can be handy so for $60 vs. $300...it was worth a try. Worst case scenario, I'd be spending $400 for a new IPad. Best case scenario, I saved a ton of money and learned a new skill.I do recommend watching a couple YouTube videos first before ordering and I personally watched the video AS I did the install. It helped me to visualize what to do.You Do need to be EXTREMELY careful around the right mid-lower side of your iPad. I messed up during screen removal and damaged my home button cable and had to spend an additional $10 plus lost my Touch ID capabilities by not reusing my original. With the amount of damage I had, I personally may not have been able to prevent the damage. So far quality seems about the same as my OEM, BUT I immediately put a tempered glass on as an extra layer of protection that I typically have on it but didn't when my daughter stepped on my original screen.Adhesion so far is holding appropriately.

Overall product was very good. It included all necessary parts to change out my broken iPad screen. The only issue I had was the included screwdriver was low quality and did not fit the screws well. I ended up slightly stripping one screw trying to use it before giving up and hunting down a real jeweler’s screwdriver to remove the screws. Other than that minor bit, everything else was good. The screen fit well and the included double sided tape helped for the home button bracket. I added a couple drops of super glue to the home button bracket just in case. This was my first time attempting to repair a broken iPad screen and I was successful. Take your time and be extra careful with the home button cable. Use a hairdryer or heat gun on low blowing on the cable as you carefully peel it from the old glass.

This is a great kit, but takes some patience to get it installed. All the tools needed were included but I would would get some extra alcohol wipes and some goo-gone or other citrus adhesive remover as well to make your replacement experience go well. Overall, this kit is just what you need, just take it slow.
