My door is an antique and the rod is small so it fit perfectly. Well packaged, exactly as pictured, easy to install, works great looks great. Far less expensive than other options, but just as beautiful. (I know that the plate is installed upside down, that was intentional to cover a hole in the door).

I have quite a few antique doors with missing backplates in my old Brooklyn brownstone, so this was an almost perfect replacement part. I wish they chiseled out a keyhole, but other than that, this is a well-made and great looking backplate.

Other reviews have said it's too small for some modern knob sets -- I've just found that it's also too small for the circa 1890's knob set it was bought for. I wish they had included the hole's dimension along with the rest of the description. Would have saved time and agro.
