Your cart is empty.Magnet wire is copper wire with a thin layer of insulation, and is used in a variety of applications including transformers, wound coils, motors, solenoids, and instruments. Raw copper is drawn to meet specific Size requirements based on the National electrical manufacturers Association (NEMA) standards. This magnet wire meets the NEMA mw-80-c standard for operating temperature (155°c/311°f) and insulation makeup. The insulation is made from modified polyurethane with a polyimide overcoat, and protects the coiled wire from short-circuiting.

Used this wire in a classroom to make simple motors. The wire worked perfectly and the insulating enamel sanded off easily using sandpaper to create the motors points of contact. Will purchase this wire again. The quality was very good.

Hey I needed some magnet wire on a small spool and I got a nice perfectly coiled spool of magnet wire.Product was packaged perfectly, and it would appear to work as well as copper cable should!

The wire is very sturdy but still pliable, and the enamel coating is thick enough to provide protection but can still be removed easily.

Despite not being prime eligible, i received this the same day as my other, prime eligible items. The shipping was free, and the product was packed well. The wire itself is good quality and is heat strip-able, which is great for thous of us too lazy to use a razor or sandpaper. When i need more, or other sizes, i will buy from here again.
