I was installing a radon suction fan to create negative pressure (suction) under the slab. I wanted to see if the suction was working in other parts of the basement or if there were cracks or gaps that was allowing conditioned air to be sucked down.The smoke pen was handy to provide smoke to see if air was being sucked down a test hole in the slab. It was - which is what I wanted. Micro-manometers that allow very low pressure readings can cost hundreds of dollars. The smoke pen gives me a visual indication at a much lower cost.Easy to light and to extinguish with the cap. Worked well.
